here you all are! Let's try and keep everything confined to a single thread for ease of finding it! What are you hoping to see on the stream? What are you excited for?

All my favorite gods being revealed to be safe, of course!
Speaking genuinely, though, I’m really interested in learning about all the War of Immortals stuff, although I’m sure we’ll only get hints about the AP proper.

I'm hoping to see some creature hints/previews, I love me some monsters and I can only imagine what may show up for the War of Immortals.

Besides information on Her, I'm wondering if we'll get some insight into Mythic and whether it'll be possible to fight demigods with it akin to Deskari back in 1e. Been curious about that since it was announced.

I'd like to get a few clues for what archetypes might be in War of Immortals! I'd also love to know if WoI or Divine Mysteries will introduce any new ancestries, versatile heritages, or any of that sort of thing. Also, seconding hoping to see more creatures!

I'd be quite interested to know if there are any structural changes coming to the arrangement of the Great Beyond. I don't expect "the cosmos is shattered, here's a new planar design" but maybe we'll see "There are so many 'holy' planes now that alignment is gone, so we took Elysium and split it into a thousand pieces of wilderness around the outer sphere to give it something to distinguish it from Nirvana"

Likewise with any changes to the way the various immortal families are structured--a sneak peak at whether say divs or demodands are changing their identity and theming to better suit Pathfinder's cosmological niches would be neat.

Having seen the rough outline for stuff I think people will be very excited for what we are unveiling. From the Office of Expectation Management, its certainly a tease/hype stream and not a deep dive, but people will be excited nonetheless.

Preview of what Mythic is gonna look like is the big one for me

I'm interested in the WoI tie-in products.

It seems pretty clear there will be an AP and pawns/maps to go with it, but what about a novel that gives some background on the whole conflict?

King of Chaos was a pretty decent precursor to the Wrath of the Righteous AP. Announce something like this, please.

And a Mythic discussion. That would also be very cool.

I'm interested to know who's finally dying, to enjoy the gloating and moaning that follows, and hoping to hear what else is coming in this book other than 2 classes.

Exciting stuff!

Put me down as also looking forward to any snippets about mythic stuff. I'm also really looking forward to any hints about archetypes or some of the capstone feats that were teased.

I believe it's been confirmed that demodands, at least, aren't making the jump. I don't even think they made the jump to 2E Premaster.

Indeed, that's my understanding too--I was reaching for another less prominent immortal family aside from asura to use for an example because I'm already somewhat fond of the asura's place as the pre-devil agents of Hell. More likely any cosmological changes (if any) could be the tacit reason why no one ever heards from a creature called a demodand again. Or perhaps we see the rise of the deodand, the authentic Vancian monster legally distinct from the demon-esque demodand variant.

Greatly hoping for a 1-20 tie-in AP, or at least a 1-10 coupled with an 11-20.

I believe it's been confirmed that demodands, at least, aren't making the jump. I don't even think they made the jump to 2E Premaster.

We don't have plans to bring demodands into 2nd edition, and certainly not the remaster, because they're kinda like modrons—other-planar creatures created for D&D that you can't use unless you use the OGL and Tome of Horrors.

But also, there's just not a lot of creative space, in my opinion, in demodands to do much with them. They have a very specific look, a relatively narrow level band, and kinda already do the things that all the other fiend groups do. If we're gonna bring in a new category of fiend these days, I'd rather make one up like the sakhils or the REDACTED from the recent Adventure Path, or maybe explore some real-world mythology.

And on a more personal note, I'm pretty proud of the storyline we did for demodands in the very first Paizo Adventure Path: Shackled City. And I feel that story's kinda wrapped up what I personally want to do with demodands.

I'm a +1 for looking forward to seeing what the tie-in products look like, especially the Not Announced But Absurdly Obvious Adventure Path that will be coming with it and precisely what shape it ends up taking. Six-parters have fallen out of favor a bit, but if any event calls for a big, "full-fat" adventure, it kind of feels like this is the one.

Also, my wild hope against hope that flies in the face of the Office of Expectation Management is that one of the things announced is going to be a Kingmaker-style 2E reissue of Wrath of the Righteous, so that all the "mythic" APs (WotR and whatever we're getting alongside this book) are playable in one system. WotR also had a number of balance problems (mostly in favor of the player) in 1E, so I'd be really curious to see the 2E crew take a crack at it, particularly in the wake of the CRPG.

It's absolutely something I'm foolish for anticipating, but I can't help myself. It would be absurdly cool if it happens.

A sneaky hope of mine - is there a setting chapter in the book? That section of Guns & Gears was some of the most fun in all PF2 so far, and I'm selfishly very interested in a few divinely-touched corners of Golarion.

...I'm hoping that someone has a specially-made Yivali plushie they show off on stream for a bit. Or even like, an extant birb plushie they made a mask for, like out of paper and tape, for the event.

Fairly lazy answer, but:

That Paizo special sauce/sizzle (a combination of care, creativity, and fun) that's kept me a loyal customer since "Burnt Offerings" grabbed me by the eyeballs in 2007.

I'd also like some word on just how much of a bloodbath this is or is not going to be for non-Core deities. A 5% fatality rate in the Core 20, with other changes possible to deities who will remain makes me, as a fan of the "other guys," very nervous about select personal favorites.

(I have a thing for Empyreal Lords, Archdevils, and deities from beyond the Inner Sea)

I wanna see what sort of cool setting books we might get related to this shake-up.

When the Core deity who gets it in the neck is announced, I'd kind of like to hear the reasoning for the specific choice, even if it's something that can be summed up in one sentence, like, "Aroden was a jerk."

Any teases about Arazni's increased prominence and how it comes about.

Any hints of more Yivali writings.

Not lazy at all! We wont be going into TOO many specifics, but thats what the forums are for! The theorycrafting can shift from WHO to WHY and HOW.

I want to second (or third) the interest in learning about behind-the-scenes considerations for which god was picked (and for those who weren't!)--even if it's not an appropriate time to reveal that now, then whenever that time comes. That, and any other pertinent general behind-the-scenes thoughts about the set up of this whole event, its fallout, and if relevant, the Exemplar class.

Yeah, the decision-making process would fascinate me to learn about!

I think a lot of people are assuming that this god’s death is going to be similar to Aroden’s in how it will impact the clergy and thus their potential characters, which I think is driving some anxiety. “Is my idea for a cleric of X, who gets this awesome divine weapon, domain, and bonus spells suddenly going to stop being possible?” I think if you all could address whether this god’s death is going to have that much of a mechanical impact for relevant characters or not could help set some minds at ease, or help players understand the mechanical impact of the decision on the game, even if you have to be quiet about the why.

I concur.

As with all behind-the-scenes comment, I'd be really interested if people from the team would share a bit of the development process. In this case, from the initial 2022 thoughts of divine death, up to making of War of Immortals.

Parts of the when, why, how, that allows to understand the history and context, especially regarding earthly aspects. Would be highly appreciated, because most of that can seriously come only come from people actually involved.

Sure, the community will most probably fill in any gaps, anyway. (And regarding in-world details, that can actually be fun, IMHO.) I'd just worry, what happened if everything was relinquished to forum speculations.

If it doesn't fit into April 16th stream, I'd happily hear about at another occasion and/or read here in the forum, too.

Regarding tease and hype - any tease about a PF2e remaster version of WotR?

The main thing that interests me is what type of Lost Omens material will be released.

We already know what the rulebook will be - mythic rules, two new classes, and a deity remaster.

I can roughly imagine what type of AP there will be - I expect at least one AP there, designed to use mythic rules. Possibly a six-parts, but from my point of view I can expect it to be up to level 20.

The main thing I'm interested in is what kind of Lost Omens material we'll get. A guide to the Outer Sphere? This is my easiest guess so far, but I would be glad to hear other options.

One pet theory I'm hoping turns out to be true is that clerics will essentially become casterly exemplars. Perhaps something in this deity's dying, the same thing that lets their essence rain down and empower exemplars, finds the channels of devotion from the faithful and imbues them with some of that raining essence. Then existing clerics can function the same, calling for spells from the pieces of divinity inside of themselves, but no new clerics of this deity could acquire divine spellcasting from worshiping them.

...oh now that is a REALLY cool idea; I'd never before considered "in-'verse grandfathering of getting spellcasting from this particular deity", but now that you've mentioned it, I can't see how I HADN'T thought of it.

I think job 1 if you're reprinting some of the Gods and Magic material to make it compatible with the remaster is to include enough stuff not in Gods and Magic that the book is exciting for people who already own all the books.

Like if all you're printing Divine Mysteries for is "updated edicts/anathema" and "a chart for which deities allow which kinds of champions" then that's like 4 pages, you have the rest for new material.

I agree that this is, to a certain extent, absolutely necessary material. It just doesn't sound like something that would be intriguing yet. I'll be happy to change my mind if there's something else.

So this is a thought I just had, but... it would be kind of cool if we got a new divine witch patron... maybe. Right now we have "Faith's Flamekeeper" Which seems like it is support oriented with the familiar ability, hex cantrip and granted spell.

But what about things that focused on the more destructive abilities of the Divine spell list "Hammer of Judgement" which are basically you are being employed sa a bounty hunter (either boy heaven or hell)

or "Voice of the Necropolis" which can be played as either the one who puts the dead down, or one who allows the dead to come back and finish their unfinished business.

That'd be fun. And they could be interesting to combine with archetypes like Blessed One or Soul Warden.
