Precious materials changes in the remaster?

Rules Discussion

Scarab Sages

So I was going through the GM core and I noticed some changes to how precious materials worked. Specifically, Darkwood is now duskwood (fine, no problem). But all the info on how to build darkdood/duskwood armor/weapons is now . . . missing? It used to be that darkwood items were level 8, but a set of darkwood armor was level 12. Now there is no information on making darkwood armor or weapons that I can find. Are they just considered items now? Anyone know what's going on?

Liberty's Edge

It seems that the level difference for different types of items was just dropped completely and now you quite simply reference the Bulk of the equipment you're making to determine the cost and that Special Materials become possible (provided you get access yada yada) once you hit the universal item level of the base material.

Good change in my opinion, it cuts down on space and removes a basically pointless level difference in terms of how you can use the raw Special Material.

Duskwood armor is on page 228. Duskwood weapons are on page 240.

Just like the precious materials section says "Prices for armor, shields,
and weapons made of precious material are in the Armor (page 228), Shields (page 233), and Weapons (page 240) sections of this chapter."
