I'll finish updating my character later today. I was a sick for a few days.
Manny has the >Opportunist< Feat, so he can make Reactive Strikes/Attacks of Opportunity with his 10 foot whip.
I'll have to reread everything about Remastered Bards & Fighters, but Manny is still following the old rules.
Manny will use >Illusory Creature< to "summon" his Guardian Angel, Shylye. She's quick to remind everyone that she's just an illusion. And definitely not a loophole to reveal herself without getting in trouble with the higher ups.

It's... complicated, but yes the new Remaster rules are in effect.
We all have a free rebuild that we can use to remake our characters in Remaster format. The old rules still work unless they were reprinted in the Remaster.
As I just got the Remaster PDF, I plan to play Manny under the old rules and make updates as needed. Once I hit level 8 (which will be right after this game) I'll rebuild him fully.

Yeah - the remaster is technically live now, but there will be a transition period. (Thanks very much for providing the link Manny!)
I plan to be fairly lenient/understanding as everyone slowly figures out the various minor changes that may come into play, especially for games like this happening right as it launches.
Kalderaan - fair enough! I may check in with some of the others in that thread after work.
Zabu - ha, yes! It’s sometimes hard to gauge which scenarios will prompt a feeding frenzy vs which can slowly struggle to fill. Luckily running the same scenario twice is less complicated than two different ones, so on occasion when I have the bandwidth (like now seems to be) if there’s this heavy interest I try to see if I can get multiple groups satisfied.

At the top of the campaign there is also a link to a Sheets doc for Skills and saves. If you could please fill out your characters' bonuses on one of those tabs, it would be greatly appreciated as it is a useful tool for me as a GM to be able to not only quickly roll Initiatives, but also quickly get needed info for any Secret Checks that may arise all credit to HMM who was the one to introduce me to that trick for PbP, and if they in turn got it from someone else all credit to that person as well :)

Both good questions. Beyond general spells or effects that would boost your saves or Will saves in general, certain spells like Soothe (Occult only sadly) or items like serene Mutagens give extra bonuses specifically agaisnt mental effects.
Resistance to Mental Damage is rare - I know of a boon that could grant it (from the Playtest) and a few specific class feats or situations but nothing I can recall that is easily available.

She has a 1st lvl Sooth spell because of her levels in Captivator.
I would hope that they would fix that archetype dedication feat to be 2nd rather than 4th level.

Question for the players: Itka has prepared one casting of Seal Fate. The spell can give weakness to one type of damage. Which type should it be?
Her other spells:
Cantrips (4th rank): Detect Magic, Guidance, Prestidigitation, Read Aura, Shield, Telekinetic Projectile
1st: Mage Armor, Soothe (2)
2nd: Dispel Magic, Faerie Fire, Warrior's Regret

BakBat likes fire, but weakness to piercing looks strong if we have an archer and certain kinds of stabby folk.

Fair question, but I'm going to say it would not apply here. This situation and subsystem are not just about getting the NPCs to like you personally, but to demonstrate the value of working together with the Pathfinder Society

Looks like Anjo has the best Perception modifier of all of us (+17), so is the most likely to be able to Discover what skills to use. Itka only has +11.

One key reminder (as it's a relevant option for at least some of these Dsicovery and Influence checks): as part of the Remaster rules, all PFS characters are automatically Trained in Pathfinder Society Lore.
...which still may not be the best choice for some of the more... Int-deficient members of the party, but for others a bonus skill for you to be aware you have.

The Deception attempt didn't seem that effective; while you were talking to her Revecka didn't actually seem to care that much about flattery. Maybe Zabu's impression was wrong...

The 8th grade language arts classes went to see "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes". Whenever characters acted romantically, the theater erupted in hoots, cheers, groans, and all manner of reactions. It was amusing.

The sad thing is the student who instigated it was already on a BIP for numerous referrals and the dad is fighting against the kid being punished for this.

Again, real apologies for that mess-up. Amateurish mistake on my end. I tried to rewind/redo as smoothly as possible (Manny being confused and thus performing only a pretty specific set of actions helps tremendously) and did re-check all of Manny's rolls to confirm the Frightened condition wouldn't have changed any of them (since it wouldn't have actually happened until 'after' your turn).

Handing out a Hero Point to Atae - powerful fiend-killing rays (that sadly were aimed at a flase-fiend), key helaing magic, and creative anti-confusion tech all brought to bear boldly in that encounter.
