Many of you likely know or have interacted with Lathiira (real name Allen Dawson) over these many years. He wasn't the loudest contributor to the community, but always here with dry wit, stellar game knowledge, and readiness to inform and assist. He was also a good personal friend of mine and a good human full of honor and kindness.
I am very sad to share he died last Friday, succumbing to injuries after being hit by a car about 10 days prior.
Please hold his family and friends in prayer, light, and love.

Wow! I'm just stunned! Very sad news indeed!
Lathiira was a great member of the community and will be missed by everyone. His sense of humor made even the worst days a little brighter.

And I think I saw on Facebook that today would have been his birthday.
I had a miniature I had painted for him of one of his favorite RP characters--I had given it to him, but the arm broke, so I had taken it back to fix and never had gotten it back to him. He and I usually got together in DC for his birthday, so yesterday, I took the repaired and repainted mini to his favorite place in DC yesterday and tucked it into a nook somewhere so that little piece of him could be in a place he loved. Probably a dumb gesture, but it felt right.
