Hello everyone!
I'm playing a rogue, currently level 8, and I like throwing weapons. My main option is still a one handed melee weapon and I go in melee, but since I have quick draw, I liked to throw a knife or two during combats until I got my implement with the thaumaturge dedication, which is a mirror that I have to hold. I kinda still continued to use throwing knives (especially because I have 2 free talismans per day with another feat and I put potency crystals on them) at the start of the encounter, when I don't have my main weapon in my hand yet, or at the end, dropping my main weapon knowing that I will likely not need it anymore, but using throwing weapons in the middle of the fight is not worth because of extra actions.
Now at level 8 I have access to 2 free level 4 talismans per day, so I'll start to use bloodseeker's beaks instead of potency crystals, and I still wanted to use throwing knives, so I will invest in a thrower's bandolier, but the "hands" problem is still there.
I did some browsing and I found the weapon harness, which would 100% solve all my problems, but unfortunately my GM bans everything that is not common (unless you gain access to it with class features or common feats), so that is also not an option.
My main weapon does not have the thrown traits and I don't want to change it since it's a family heirloom, I'm aware that it would be another solution to the problem with the bandolier.
Also no familiar or similiars, they don't fit the concept.
Is there something that I can do to not cuck my action economy every time I want to throw a knife? I'm open to class/dedication feats if needed, but if there is a solution involving only gear, spells or skill feats I would much prefer it.
Thank you everyone, if you need to know something else just ask and I'll answer!

Hands are valuable in PF2. Having one hand free is a little less pricey for Rogues since they favor one-handed weapons, but you'd made your choice when you chose to get a mirror (or to wield a non-thrown melee weapon I suppose). Other than starting with a thrown weapon then swapping to your melee one, there's little synergy here. So yeah, you're right, the action cost is too high unless I suppose you're bold enough to drop your main weapon (which BTW should outstrip your thrown knife damage enough for knife throwing to become even less appealing as you add better Runes.)
Also, with the mirror it seems you'd bypass much of the tactical need for thrown weapons (especially since they have poor range increments). So get flight somehow to cover the rest?
Or throw the mirror as an improvised weapon. :-)

What about temporarily changing that heirloom weapon?
A Shifting Rune is a common level 6 item.
You could either change your heirloom weapon into a thrown weapon that can be attuned to the bandolier or turn it into a free-hand weapon like a gauntlet when you think you might need a free hand for throwing other weapons.

Ye, my only limit are flying creatures, but there are other ways to deal with them (like trusting your spellcasters friends to drag them down, or fly with a potion/wand), it's not like I really need a ranged option, it would be only slighly better in those very few situations when I have someone already flat-footed between 10 and 20 feet, to not spend the action to move there.

I forgot to mention that it's just a secondary problem, I'm not willing to sacrifice anything from my main weapon, such a property rune slot.
Also I'm not sure how would that help since shifting is 1 action, it would be actually worse because I would have to spend 1 action when I wanted try go ranged and 1 action to go back to melee (instead of just 1 action to stow the melee weapon and use quick draw when I want it back)
