Aiding and abetting in the impersonation of a statue is not a crime?
Very well. I revise the chronicle sheets.

![]() |

I will be on a trip and out of touch from December 29th to January 14th. I really want to play part 4 with you all. But you can start without me and so on, everyone doesn't have to wait for me. When I come back, I'll join the game.

![]() |

I'm happy to wait ... and yes, I was wondering if impersonation of a statue was a crime. I've heard of stranger things.

GM Valen |

Decriminalized Chronicles for Part III are now up here.
I am fine waiting to January 14th, if folks prefer. I'll check in after the new year on a start time.
Happy New Year all!

![]() |

The decriminalized chronicle looks good. ;-)
I am also fine waiting to January 14th.
Happy New Year, everyone! :-D

![]() |

Did everyone survive the holidays? Good. Merida is eager to try her new level 4 powers on some bad guys! :-D
(Just kidding; nearly all that changed is her arrow damage - it went up because of Weapon Specialization and the next level of Deadly Aim. Oh, and she hits a bit better...)

GM Valen |

I survived the holidays, but my computer is being difficult. I will try to get us started tomorrow.

No Stress, just checking in. I can send my bard friend (Corba Nana) over to try some percussive maintenance, if you want... ;-)

![]() |

I came back, but a couple more days of pause came in handy ))

GM Valen |

My monitor started acting up and then quit on my totally. I have acquired a back up and believe I can get us started on Part IV tomorrow.

Sorry everyone, it's been a crazy time.
We're taking in a friend who was about to literally be homeless. She makes over $20 an hour and she can't afford to live alone anywhere in town. This is not a major city. It's an 80,000 population area. But a high speed toll road was just completed to Toronto. And now rich a@#&!**s who don't mind driving to work are starting to snap up property. Like many places, bidding wars are starting over rents.
Anyway, to make a long story slightly shorter, we're taking her in. When I say we, I mean my wife, myself, and our severely depressed housemate. It's a 3 bedroom. We are about to have 4 people, and a dog, living in this place. There is one bathroom.
I'm not saying this to vent, only to give everyone a sense of the upheaval that is going on. This place was crammed floor to ceiling already with the belongings of three grown adults. Our new tenant is putting most of her belongings in storage; however, she still needs at least one room.
We call this place "The Madhouse" and that's becoming truer all the time.
So bot me all you want right now, and I'll be here more often soon.

I need to up Ashtoret to level 5, I'll do it one of these days.

GM Valen |

Sorry everyone, it's been a crazy time.
Amen.
Seriously, take the time you need. It is very admirable of you and your household to be so accomodating and generous.

GM Valen |

I have been remiss. Please fill out the requested RPGchronicle info here so I can determine our current subtier for the current combat and provide chronicle sheets at completion.

![]() |

Done.

GM Valen |

My calculations, based on present information, is that this party is at APL 4.67, which rounds up to 5 and puts us between subtiers. (4+4+5+5+5+5)/6 = 4.67
Per the PFS Guild Guide:
"Scenarios in Seasons 0 through 3 were designed for four characters. For these scenarios, if the APL is between subtiers, a party of six or seven characters must play the higher subtier."
Thus, it appears that we will be playing at subtier 6-7.
Unless I first receive confirmation from all 6 players that my calculations are correct (or the RPGChronicles is completely filled out), I will give the players 72 hours to provide corrections to my calculations. In the absence of any, I will proceed per above sometime Monday.

Higher Subtier works for me (more gold, yay!) - but that's easy to say for an archer.
However, I think this group of Pathfinders likes the challenge - don't we? ;-)
And I believe (and also hope) that we can handle it...

I'd vote for Daylight!

@Ashtoret: Great use of Fireball! :-D
Fortunately, the rolls needed from Seebonickk and you were high enough...

Hey! I missed your question. I hate haste (although I understand the huge benefits), IMAO any caster turns into something like a bard in the first round of any fight, so a fireball .)
@Ashtoret: Great use of Fireball! :-D

Oh, thank you! It's been a long time since I've smelled napalm in the morning. In standard games, I take other spells for the 3rd circle all the time... And here finally the good old classic fireball is back in business!

Despite being in melee range Merida fires two arrows at the nearest enemies. (provokes an AoO from the red rat)
Did the red rat forgo its AoO? Not that I want to get hurt. But in order to be fair I think I should ask again...

Or, to quote the mighty wizard Vaarsuvius: "I love the smell of bat guano in the morning. Smells like... victory." ;-)

Ask and ye shall receive.

Thank you so much for the crit, dicebot! [/sarcasm]
Unfortunately, it sucks to be on the receiving end. But hey, I asked for it, so I cannot complain, right? ;-)

Perfectly )
This picture is the quintessence of playing for the wizard.

we leave today I'll try and post as I can.
Have a nice vacation! I think you just ended this combat. ;-)

![]() |

I apologize for the temporary absence, I have a cold. Maybe I'll post a little slower than usual for a while, but I'll try to make it have a minimal impact.

![]() |

Okidokiloki
"Who are you calling a Loki?!" :-P ;-)

![]() |

In light of this, I have moved Merida and Theron's tokens on the map, to reflect Merida examining the bell and Theron keeping guard at the doorway to the chapel.
In addition, I will assume that Merida has not yet undertaken the actions indicated in this prior post. (For reasons.)
I am quite interested what these reasons could be... ^_^
Once the party concludes that it is done with its examination of the bell, I will adjudicate Merida's prior post accordingly.
That's alright for me.

![]() |

As a result of the magical effect of what has been confirmed to be a bell of obedience, the affected Pathfinder are under a compulsion that prevents each of them from taking violent actions or doing anything destructive, although they can defend themselves.
Ashtoret knows that any aggressive action taken against an affected, calmed creature or injury dealt to one of them immediately breaks the spell as to all the affected, calmed creatures.
Wait... does this mean Ashtoret just needs to attack one of us (even non-lethal and/or not hitting) and the effect will be removed? Or would that be metagaming? o:-)

![]() |

I think she knows how this effect works and it seems to me that the attack must be real, so that the target and everyone who sees it feel ... real anxiety? Well, let's say some tension at least.
