Regarding chronicles:
I think mine and Nightkit's have a small but significant error.
As much as I'd love it to be different, but I think the gold we spent for shopping should be entered in the field "items bought", not "items sold".
Corrected chronicles are now posted where other fine chronicles can still be found.
For both chronicles AND reporting for Gameday, please fill out the RPGChronicle information for Part III at this link.

can we use the new thread and close this one out?
I have made the other campaign non-active, but linked this Discussion thread to the new campaign to make tracking a bit easier for me and to provide continuity.

Thank you for the update! Chronicle looks good.
Thanks again for running this for us! :-DFor both chronicles AND reporting for Gameday, please fill out the RPGChronicle information for Part III at this link.
Done.

I am headed to a live con for the weekend and don't anticipate posting any updates until Monday. Have a good weekend all.

Have a fun con, GM Valen! :-)

Ashtoret, we need your magical expertise!

@GM Valen: I just wanted to say I am sorry for being not 100% on top of this game. (Additionally, since last week I am down with a nasty cold, but it's getting better.)
I also hope you are not too frustrated with this game. Considering you have to remind us constantly of the clues we already got, I can imagine it is - at least a little bit - tedious...
This is the downside of the pbp format - it's been so long IRL since we got the info that we tend to forget.
However, I promise to try and do better! :-)

GM Valen |

No need to apologize. I understand the downside of the format and have been dealing with a number of real life issues too, including a nasty cold of my own.
I am not frustrated with the party. If my posts seems to suggest otherwise, then please accept my apology. I am trying to walk the fine lines between being helpful/immersive and not-railroading/keeping up momentum.
If this game didn't have a deadline due to being a Gameday event, then I probably wouldn't be as heavy with the "clues". As it is, we have less than a month and multiple combats coming up (even removing the "optional" one.
It doesn't help that the cultist's tactics in the first battle draw out the fight and the scenario (being an early one) makes certain presumptions about a path that it expects the party to follow (and then puts up "roadblocks" by hiding useful information behind DCs).

If Merida apologized, then I'm even afraid to imagine what I should have done in this case... )
Sorry too, anyway.

Please, please. No apologies. I am simply trying to keep us moving forward. This early scenario has a number of puzzles, which can be time-consuming to solve in a real-time, face-to-face game and become all the more so over the asynchronos PbP format. I hope my efforts aren't spoiling any of the fun and/or interest for you all.
This really has been a great group to play with, which can be rare in itself. To find such a group and keep them over multiple scenarios is all the more so precious!

My condolences.

GM Valen |

My condolences as well. As has been said, please take the time you need.
I do need to keep moving the table along for Gameday, but we have you covered as long as you need.

GM Valen |

Sorry for the delay. Crazy past few days.

Today is the last day of Gameday, so I will be reporting this game even though we have not yet concluded. I will not provide chronicle sheets until we finish, which I hope will be soon (although I will be out of pocket most of this week and early next due to travel plans and executor duties).
The party has not yet earned full prestige. My request is that you eventually please do so and, also, don't die!
(To do otherwise will result in too much paperwork.) ; P

GM Valen |

@Menudo - Please check your private messages on the board with a question about reporting.

GM Valen |

I will be traveling through the weekend. Likely won't post until sometime Monday. Feel free to bot me as necessary.

![]() |

We players should bot the GM? That's a new one... ;-)

![]() |

Well... If you wish...
*flexing fingers*
And then the floor breaks and a huge creepy mass of flesh from mouths and eyes continuously muttering begins to crawl at the same time on the Pathfinders and Cultists.
Gibbering Mouther, init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Everyone Will Save DC13, please
*ominous laughter*

GM Valen |

I hope you all had a pleasant few days, including any who were celebrating.
And thanks for not dying while I was gone as per my cut-and-paste errors request!

![]() |

Welcome back! :-)

@Theron: I moved your token according to your description.
@GM Valen: I turned the tokens of Kit and the red cultist sideways to indicate that they are prone (unconscious/dead).

GM Valen |

Sorry. Real life schedule has been a bit crazy. Expect an update tomorrow.

I wonder what the paladin's thoughts are when he watches the ghoul-cultist of Groetus and the necromancer-cultist of Urgathoa fighting each other with waves of negative energy, and one of them is his ally... Maybe, it doesn't really matter which of the two of them is an ally (at least in the opinion of the Spanish Inquisition, which, as always, no one expected).
Just kidding .)

No day job, normal progression.

A little later, Ashtoret will invite everyone to a festive dinner and will regale you with the most delicious dishes...

Chronicles for Part III are now up here.
As usual, please let me know of any revisions or corrections.
With the holidays coming, I was wondering if folks would prefer to wait until after the New Year to start Part IV.

Yeah, I also believe that we did not commit a crime. Otherwise, the chronicle looks correct.
With the holidays coming, I was wondering if folks would prefer to wait until after the New Year to start Part IV.
I could start any time (after levelling up to level 4 and applying two more pregen chronicles). But I will gladly - and patiently ;-) - wait if a player (or our GM!) wants to wait till next year.
Thank you for running this game, GM Valen. It's a pleasure to sit at your table! :-D
Good game, everyone! :-)
