How to play Restorative Touch and Ambrosia (Core)

Tell me please, how to play Restorative Touch and Ambrosia? Restorative Touch "Banish to heal a local character 1d4+1 cards and/or remove up to 2 scourges from them." I can't understand what this means "...and/or... "! In other words I can heal 1d4+1 cards or remove up to 1-2 scourges, choose just one of these? I can't heal 1d4+1 and remove to 1 scourges for example?

"And/or" simply means it can be either. You may:

A. heal a local character 1d4+1 cards
B. remove 1 or 2 scourges from a local character
C. heal a local character 1d4+1 cards and remove 1 or 2 scourges from them

Sorry, I should have said "and/or" can be either or both.
Hopefully my examples made that plain!
