Tell me please, how to play Restorative Touch and Ambrosia? Restorative Touch "Banish to heal a local character 1d4+1 cards and/or remove up to 2 scourges from them." I can't understand what this means "...and/or... "! In other words I can heal 1d4+1 cards or remove up to 1-2 scourges, choose just one of these? I can't heal 1d4+1 and remove to 1 scourges for example?

Situation in the game: during my friend's turn, i have 5 cards (my hand size) and i play spell and blessing cards for help checking my friend (5-2=3). Friend ends his turn and draws cards by hand size, I'm checking recovery my spell card, can i take 2 cards from my deck or i should start my turn with 3 cards? I didn't see in the rules that I can't do that. Recovery is checked every turn (rules), how to deal with card draw in my situation, please help me understand.
