So for reasons, my players never killed Hellion in Lord's of Rust. They never even fought him.
So now fast forward to book 4, Hellion is still at full power he has learned that the neurocam is in the Scar of the Spider and has beaten the party there.
I'm looking for some ideas on what to do with him. Since this adventure is missing an Iron God villain, I feel like Hellion could be a great stand in. Anyone have any cool ideas?
I had roleplayed both Hellion and Unity as scared down to their circuits of the Dominion of the Black. I provided evidence to the party that Unity had deliberately crashed some Divinity Fleet spaceships because Dominion creatures had boarded them.
If my version of Hellion discovered the Dominion scouts in the Scar of the Spider, then he would try to ally with the party to destroy the Dominion Hive. That is not particularly villainous, however.
Another possibility is that Hellion might try to steal technology from the Dominion. It might also try to take over the annihilator robot to upgrade its own chassis.

These options are not actually exclusive.
You could have his AI takeover Binox's body, with intent to raid the Dominion Hive after spending a few months to build up a robot army to takeover and repair the annihilator robot for use as his own chassis, possibly forming a (temporary) alliance with the mi-go since they're enemies with the Dominion as well.
