Multiple Electrostatic Fields for combined damage?

So I recently had a thought on which my first reaction was "why wouldn't it be like that?": If one, for whatever reason, installs two different Electrostatic Fields in one's armor, would an enemy that hits you take the retaliatory damage from both armor upgrades? So both the 1d6 of the Mk I and the 2d6 of the Mk II?

I know resistance doesn't stack and takes the higher one, but is that the same for the retaliatory damage? I couldn't find any rule or reason why they wouldn't both deal damage back, but it is also possible that I simply overlook something here.

(P.S. I mainly play SFS, so I'm mainly asking what the rule is, not how another GM would rule it. If there is no rule however, then I guess the main consensus is the rule that should be followed)

I can't think of any rule that prevents it. Other than price, which quickly becomes trivial.

Though, note that enemy resistance would affect each electrostatic field individually. So, enemy resistance still comes close to no-selling no matter how many fields you have.

That said, you would probably have a lot of GMs looking at you funny if you tried this.

Oh yes, they definitely are separate sources of electricity damage so simple electricity resistance blocks most of it.

It was just that selling the armor upgrades is quite inefficient, and was wondering what I should do with it after buying the upgrade. First it was on loan to party-members that didn't have one, but it isn't that necessary anymore. I recently gained enough open armor slots that I could also add it to my new armor, which then posed the question if it worked that way.

And that is the other limiting factor: enough open armor slots. two different Electrostatic Fields take slots that could also have been used for better combinations of armor upgrades. So it probably isn't that optimal, but a fun surprise (that isn't that lethal anyway).
