What happened to our friendly spiders, the Anadi? Has everyone forgotten about them?

Anadi Ancestry

The Anadi mentioned in my original post? :)

Liberty's Edge

I still want the scorpion-centaurs from PF1.

Centipede-centaurs would be fun too.

And I now realize I would love elephant-centaurs and T Rex-centaurs too.

Does the setting have a ready one to fall back on? And no, the anadi don’t count :)

I feel this very much. I really want insect folk; formians would be nice, and could handle the different types of formians with variants, which is also a great plan.

I like what Paizo did with Skeletons, so I'm having high hopes this could be a cool thing as well.

I personally don't really care for any of the pf1 ancestries people have linked in this thread, they all look really boring to me, but a nonbipedal, completely nonhumanoid insectile ancestry that's completely unrelated to mammals would be awesome and one of the coolest pf2e ancestries ever. Like a giant millipede using two of their legs as arms. Or a giant scorpion with 2 tails with hands instead of spikes.

D'ziriak are a bit too humanoid to truly fufill my "playable insectoid ancestry" dream, but they would probably be amongst the easiest to implement, while still bringing something very fresh to the table. They're seriously begging to be added as playable (rare) ancestry with how well they would fit.

They're basically denizens of the plane of shadow that actually aren't hostile to outsiders, form working societies and don't worship zon kuthon. They would probably be one of the easiest "fully outsider" race to implement as playable ancestry, and they could be to the shadow plane what the sprites were to the first world.
