Domain granted powers damage?

Rules Questions

I've been staring at domains granted powers for clerics for a while now, does the damage increase from 1d6+1 to 1d6+2 or 2d6+2 for every two cleric levels. Just confused on the wording.

1d6(+1 per every 2 levels), it sounds really weak but that's just what it is. You're really never meant to be using those abilities except for when you're saving spells/other abilities with nothing else to do in the round.

Fire Bolt (Sp): As a standard action, you can unleash a scorching bolt of divine fire from your outstretched hand. You can target any single foe within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack with this bolt of fire. If you hit the foe, the fire bolt deals 1d6 points of fire damage + 1 point for every two cleric levels you possess. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

The format of "1d6 points of fire damage + 1 point for every two cleric levels you possess" means 1d6+0 at level 1, 1d6+1 at level 2, 1d6+10 at level 20. Basically, you have a number that is separated(by the damage type) from another number-that-varies-by-level for damage, not just a number-that-varies-by-level then damage type.

For example, compare Flame Blade: The blade deals 1d8 points of fire damage + 1 point per two caster levels (maximum +10). It's not a maximum of 10d6+10, just 1d6+10. Very similar wording though using 'per caster level' instead of 'for every two cleric levels'.

Basically, the format should be "the fire bolt deals 1d6+1 points of fire damage for every two cleric levels you possess" if it was multiple dice.
