Visiting the USA from the UK

I wonder if anyone knows what the rules are for visiting the USA from the UK, regarding the pandemic?
I'd like to visit in October, however flights are vastly more expensive right now, but I'm not sure if it's allowed or what other rules there are currently.

Regardless of the rules today, absolutely nobody knows what the rules will be in October :-(. The vaccination hesitation in many places makes it currently seem quite possible that covid will again be raging nearly out of control by then, at least in some areas.

I'd strongly advise you to make sure your tickets are all refundable. And have a backup vacation plan.

At present, the US has a travel ban on anyone who’s been in certain countries within the last 14 days. The UK is on that list. Given the climbing Covid rates here, I would be surprised if it’s lifted before Octobter, so would advise looking elsewhere for your holiday.
