SOM Starship Weapon Special Properties (not all used?)

Rules Questions

I'm starting to read through the Starship Operations Manual (SOM) and on page 13 there are some properties of "Automated" and "Deployed" described. But then on the following weapons table (pages 18-19) none of the weapons have those properties listed in the "Special Properties" column like I'd expect.

Am I missing something here?

They’re things that can be added to base weapons (there’s a side bar with cost multipliers) but aren’t on any off the shelf weapons.

Though I believe the prebuilts have at least a couple deployed weapons.

What is really strange is that Deployed is described as a property you would put on a launcher/tracking weapon (and it has a limited number of shots). However, at the end of the Deployed description, it specifically says that "Deployed weapons can't already have the limited fire special property"?
Huh - this doesn't seem to make any sense. Shouldn't launchers (such as a torpedo launcher) be able to swap out torpedos for drones? I think this must be an error - it would only make sense that deployed should work with limited fire weapons? I can't imagine changing a non limited fire weapon to deployed, it just seems wrong.

You're dropping drones armed with laser cannons and a limited battery with deployed weapons. Other limited fire weapons tend to be missile type weapons and... well those are already 'deployed' when fired aren't they?

You can upgrade lasers, mass drivers, particle cannons, etc. to be deployed.

You can not upgrade missile launchers, torpedoes, etc. to be deployed.

It sounds to me like they don't want you building an Honor Harrington-style Ghost Rider weapon system, at least not with the basic Deployed property. Which kind of makes sense- while it would be expensive in BP to do, imagine the kind of burst damage potential if you dropped a drone that riffled off antimatter missiles? Or two drones, or three. And you'd only be sacrificing very little staying power, since you'd only be losing a few shots versus a normal mount ( compared to a gun mount which could be making well more than three shots ).
