What are your burning questions related to Guns & Gears?

What about level non-magical items? What kinds of high level melee weapons, armor, and other gadgets (artillery, howdahs, coaches, clockwork gizmos, spy devices, etc.) are there?

How many new types alchemical devices are there? What are some particularly cool ones?

Will there ever be a bastard sword with a point that can do piercing damage? If not, how is it that smiths are unable to put a point on a great sword, but not a bastard sword? What does this say about the crafting abilities of the smiths of Golarion?

Is the default 1st level gun a matchlock, a wheellock, or what? What are the higher level guns like? What is a particularly cool high level gun?

Will guns and gear include the errata for alchemists (because they have some pretty significant changes in the errata)?

I almost forgot to ask this - Did the Inventor retain the martial class framework or is it now more of a support class like the Alchemist?

Here's hoping we never see another martial without martial proficiency and without a martial main stat. The playtest inventor seemed just right as far its ability to smack things

Can I make an inventor with a one-of-a-kind self-reloading repeating awesome crossbow yet?

I worked really hard during the playtest to make this work and sadly it did not.

Me too, but Ammo-less(improved version of self-reloading repeating) air gun.

One of Human's feat may allows to make advanced weapon as innovation then.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, The-Magic-Sword did a great summary of the Ask the Experts panel where we gave a lot of info on Guns & Gears. Thread here.

Thank you Michael and The-Magic-Sword. It all sounds really cool and great, with promises of even more awesomeness in the future :-D

Personally I would love to know how Gunblades work. I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan, and I've got machinations (hah) to pitch a Gunblade wielding Magus to my DM when SoM comes out and I'd like to be able to do so without homebrewing, or at least as little as possible.

Gunslinger got two new ways, including the way of the vanguard, tanky gunslinger with big scatter weapons to fight on the front lines. People wanted a heavy gunner that specializes in shotguns, so here it is.

Oh this is me. The developers are talking about me and did the thing I asked for

***[7:14 PM]***one of the things they didn't include in the playtest was gadgets, there are feats that let inventors get a few gadgets for free each day, they do neat things, you could put gadgets on your boots that do rocket jumps, or protect your shield from taking damage, lots of different niches.

Is gadgets added to Innovation? I found Investigator's strategic strike with shortbow will make 2d6, over extreme of level 1 monster. What if monster can have it through...

***[7:42 PM]***Guns and Gears won't have support for Numeria, its too high tech for the scope of this book, which is black powder and steam punk oriented. That would have to be a new book, one that isn't currently being planned at all.

Oh, it's about Numeria thing.

In thread, there is mention about Iconic Inventor. And in reply, there is link to Funbus... Goblin alchemist's "Meet the Iconic" blog post.

That blog post wrote:
half-orc Pathfinder named Droven

So this is Iconic Inventor's name...

Can Snipers use bows now?

There's a tanky shotgun wielding type of gunslinger? Does that mean we have Doomguy now? And what is this "spellshot" thing, for it sounds most interesting!

I'm hoping it's something like what we have in Outlaw Star!

Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but so excited for inventor. Even more so after the news about how unstable works and integrated weapons.

Non-cross bow aka bow.

From what it looks like was shared on Discord that's a no, but GM/PC could adjust the rules for bows.
