you lose access to two entire schools and still can't restore more than 2 focus points until level 18, all for a couple more focus spells that are just okay. Most of the other feats are "nice to have" but hardly make up for losing access to two schools of magic.

Runelord Gives:
- The equivalent of 2 focus spell feats- The equivalent of 2 domain feats
- An additional spell added to your spellbook per level + Cantrip
- A weapon proficiency
- Access to all the archetype feats
Runelord Takes:
- 1 Class feat
- Access to two schools of magic
If that trade is worth it is totally up to you, but it goes give a decent amount of stuff for its cost.
Also, I think you have misread how the archetype handles focus points. Its 1 at 1st, 2 at 12th and 3 at 18th. Which is standard focus point progression.
