My idea is I am possessed by my Mystic Past Life who is also my Patron.
While remaining spoiler free, any idea on how to tie that into the AP?
Your past life feels that they failed at their duty to adequately protect Ameiko's family line. You are their last chance to make good on that duty by protecting Ameiko.
Possessed by my first life, the one ordered to protect the family align line, "descendant" of all those that followed.
I like that idea a lot. Any other NPCs (apart from Ameiko) you think I should be tied to?

Not really. They are all friends of Ameiko though, so your character might warm up to any of them, or disdain any of them. Shalelu is something of a protector too, so could be an ally or a rival. Sandru is something of a failed protector but a good older brother. And Koya Mvashti could be a comrade in mysterious mysticism or a crackpot little better than a fraud.
And you can build this with your GM as the story unfolds, depending on how they portray the NPCs.
How best do you think it would to be from Tian Xia?

I am not sure that Samsarans can only be born in Tian Xia or to people originating from Tian Xia.
I think the most interesting origin would be to be a Samsaran born to one of Sandpoint's families that have no idea what a Samsaran even is.
Otherwise, there are Tien communities in the northern lands, such as the Jade Quarter in Karlsgard.
I think it is not a good idea for a PC to have been born in Tian Xia, but it is something you really should check with your GM.
