Kappa

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

Hi. I don't post here very often. I just got my Bestiary 3, and I got to thinking...

Does anyone have any ideas for how I can build an encounter involving a Large Advanced Kappa who leads an army of kappa and myconids? I'm thinking I want this Large Advanced Kappa to fly around in some kind of clockwork conveyance, perhaps throwing bombs or small clockwork versions of itself. Or perhaps shooting absurdly large slow-moving bullets. I'm NOT talking about a Huge Advanced Kappa that breathes fire and has a luxurious mane of red hair, merely a Large Advanced Kappa. A Kappa Kid if you will. Is there something in the inventor playtest that might help this come together? Maybe I should look at magic wands?

I believe that the best way is to first kidnap a princess.

Inventor playtest might indeed help, the Scrounger archetype might be something interesting to look as well.

Liberty's Edge

I gave one of my big bads the ability to use any wand ad infinitum. But this worked only in their hands, for the pcs looting the wand, it is a regular wand.

I think clockwork mages in the same book may have a similar ability as to the wand, and also there are rules for vehicles in the Gamemastery Guide and a clockwork flying machine sounds pretty reasonable.

Give them an alchemist's reagents for some infused bombs (maybe even custom walking clockwork bombs that target reflex DC instead of attack rolls).
