That'd be cool. A Miles Morales appearance would be awesome as well. I'd prefer new incarnations of Spider-man being introduced instead of rehashing the old ones.

Someone asked if Andrew Garfield would be in NWH considering he was fired by Sony, someone else said he clearly wasn’t fired, I referred to the document in the Sony Hack where Garfield’s firing was called for and the TS and Irontruth went on dual tangents about how that “didn’t feel right” and how it “needed more sources.”
Beyond that it doesn’t relate at all and could have ceased being a topic for discussion days ago.
I’m still kind of hoping Tom Holland keeps going as Peter, if only to see the original 1970s clone story finally appear on the big screen.
Or Kraven’s Last Hunt. That could really kick ass.
I think we could have, as the current comics do, both Peter Parker (Tom Holland) as well as Miles showing up, which I also am looking forward to happening. And other Spider-Persons, like Spider-Gwen, who is less likely but still someone I'd like to see in more than just Into the Spider-verse. It definitely does not have to be either/or.
Mind you I am someone who is very not invested in the current Spider-Man movies, but I am also resigned to the fact many millions of other people are invested, and therefore we will be seeing eleventy billion more of them in the next several years. So I may as well root for the bits I do wanna see since Spider-Man's takeover of all cinema pop culture is ongoing and unstoppable.
I agree there are some classic Spider-Man storylines that would be really fun to explore in the movies. I think that unfortunately they are unlikely with Spider-Man's inclusion in the MCU, because all of his movies in the MCU have been involved in dealing with the aftermath of or setting up future MCU crossover events, and they are never going to have time to properly explore Spider-Man's own mythology while using him as the main prop for getting all the other cross-universe stories off the ground.

With 42 new posts since I checked the forums yesterday, I thought maybe the movie had leaked or something. But it's just the same people arguing about semantic and opinions. I guess I should be happy it's a slight different set of people doing the arguing than the two I suspected...but I'm not.

I am PRAYING Holland remains as Peter Parker for a long time in the MCU. He is a perfect Parker and an awesome Spider Man. I’d rather not muddy things up with a Miles Morales introduction for quite some time - there is plenty more to do with THIS Spider Man before we should entertain a new incarnation …

I also agree with Marc, Miles can stay away until maybe 2024 when they start showing up the Champions maybe. Or young Avengers.

SLIGHTLY disagree because I think they might be able to still do singular Spider-man movies without it needing to connect THAT much to MCU crossovers. At least if they are going the route that might be in the future. But we'll see.
