Does Way of the Samurai trigger Unconquerable Resolve?

Does the Order of the Warrior 8th level ability:

Way of the Samurai wrote:
At 8th level, the order of the warrior samurai’s sense of honor and loyalty drives him to accomplish seemingly impossible tasks. The samurai can, as a standard action, focus his mind and will. Once during the next minute, he can choose to roll an attack roll, skill check, or saving throw three times and take the best result. He must decide to use this ability before the roll is made. Using this ability expends one daily use of his resolve.

trigger Unconquerable Resolve

Unconquerable Resolve wrote:
Whenever you spend a daily use of the resolve class feature, you gain 1 temporary hit point per Hit Die you have. These temporary hit points are lost first when you take damage, disappear after 1 minute, and are replenished each time you use the resolve class feature. Temporary hit points gained in this way persist for 24 hours and then, if you haven’t lost them, they disappear.

Liberty's Edge

Not an expert in Samurai, but it seems to fulfill the requirement.

Absolutely

Sovereign Court

Unconquerable Resolve is weird to me. It says the temp hp disappear after 1 minute, and then also disappear after 24 hours.

They disappear after a minute. In another thread there was a link to a dev comment, but currently the search function doesn't find it.

Found searching the product:

For Unconquerable Resolve, the temporary hit points last for 1 minute.

Since it'd be a shame for this thread to become too bogged down in adjudication questions, I'd like to gently suggest that folks make a separate thread for such inquiries, perhaps on the Player Companion board.

Thanks, folks!

I would say no, the Resolve class ability has a list of things you can spend resolve on, those are the ones that would trigger Unconquerable resolve. Order of the Samurai expends a resolves, not spends it so would not trigger.

Is there a defined difference between expends and spends?

Gaining new ways to do something doesnt make the new ways invalid because they weren't listed from the start.

For example, grit and gunslingers.

Put my vote down for "Yes you get the HP".

Not an expert at all, but it looks good to me.
