Liberty's Edge

I think he is the only in-Golarion PFS official I actually remember. It was fun to see him in the aforementioned scenario and in the Perennial crown scenarios.

So this thread is somewhat answered (and I'm going to be smug about my lucky guess for some time), but there's still lingering questions.

I was extremely pleased to be wrong that inventors would focus on consumables, and instead seemed to focus on what I actually wanted: manipulating traits of permanent items. Constructs, Armor, and Weapons were great innovation subjects, but what might some other ones be?

I have 3 guesses:

Helmet - Yes, this is a blatant, SHAMELESS rip-off of World of Warcraft. In for a penny though, and I think it'd be interesting for at least one class path of inventor to go against the grain and be good at perception. Under limited circumstances, at least. This would probably revolve around Seek actions, perception/illusion resistance in general, and possibly pinpoint accuracy (item bonus to throwing bombs/non-bow ranged attacks).

Explosions included, of course, though this would probably go better if I get my other wish and Clockwork Celerity becomes the default Unstable action instead of Explode. Seek would be the bonus action for this innovation.

Tool - What is an inventor without their trusty spanner? This would be the skill-monkey plus class path, with a tool that enables an item bonus to certain skills and probably exclusive Unstable skill actions. Demoralize is a must here, by the way, especially towards robots and constructs. Desna knows I've threatened computers and machines in general with a swift whack from a wrench. I mean, percussive maintenance.

Note, I don't want this to be a weapon; this should be more akin to a held magical item.

Belt - Look, I know bandoliers aren't exactly a thing anymore (at least not like they were at first). No reason why they can't be if a class was designed to accommodate them though. If gadgets become a class path instead of just a pool every inventor gets, this would be the class path to place them in. And while I changed my mind often, that might be the best way to go, so that inventors keep their martial chassis and players can opt into that level of complexity instead of it being assumed.

The explode option is kind of obvious for belts, but, um. Hope alchemists don't cry. Clockwork celerity can be the equivalent of Quick Alchemy.

Actually, upon reflection, this might not be a bad flavor for alchemists as well. They could use an alchemical tool research field anyways.

The two I could definitely see is one more path for consumable gadget specialist, and a weapon arm/body modification inventor. Though I suppose if the bazaar book has weapon arm prosthetic it might be enough to just go with weapon inventor, but it would be neat to really get into all sorts of things that augmentations could do.
