Duplicate Sessions when reporting

Organized Play General Discussion

So I reported and event earlier and it shows 2 times in my sessions. It has 2 sessions for the same table. I also son't understand how the ACP are being calculated. I don't know if the duplicated sessions are giving me double ACP. When I add all the ACP up they don't actually equal what the Boons tab shows.

I also see that several of the Starfinder scenarios are duplicated also.

Any guidance?

They're still jackhammering out the bugs, and some options or functionality comes and goes. Just a bit more patience. It sounds like they're trying to have it wrapped up between next month and the end of the year.

None of mine have been duplicated, including one just reported.

I'd suggest mailing pfsreportingerrors@paizo.com to look into the duplicated sessions. I think there's a bug that deleted sessions misbehave so I'd ask them before trying to clean it up yourself.

Not sure if I did something wrong when I reported. I must say reporting a game was very unintuitive and overly complicated. So many back and forth and save. The reporting needs to be streamlined. I should just have to fill out ALL derails then hit save and I am done.

That's what you're supposed to do?

Well, "Save and Exit".

I should have to set it all up then go back to events and report. I literally could streamline this process and make it 100% better. A lot of this site needs an overhaul.

I personally prefer 'Save' wait for the page to refresh make sure it looks right, then 'Save and Exit'. I've seen Save and Exit silently fail a couple of times and unless you know to check your Sessions/Reports after it to double check, you can miss it. Wish they'd fix that bug, but at least the work around isn't too painful.

My pet peeve is when it decides that too much time has elapsed and just eliminates your session.

Together with the number of false warnings combined with the number of uncaught errors in data entry.

Yeah, it needs an overhaul. But it isn't likely to happen as the web team is constantly busy with other issues.

Honestly, given the age of the network tech it is running on, it probably needs a straight up replacement.

Nobody disagrees that the site needs work, but it is what it is for now, so we need to learn to use it.

I run games twice a week. This is my process:

  • On Wednesday, post next Wednesday's SFS game to Warhorn and Paizo.
  • On Sunday, post next Sunday's PFS game to Warhorn and Paizo.
  • After reporting each game, post the next week's game to Warhorn and Paizo.

That's about as "streamlined" as I can imagine, and other than real life occasionally interrupting my plans, I haven't had any troubles.

If you are the event owner, you can delete both reported tables and reenter again.

Yes, reporting is nor as intuitive as we like but once you understand how it works it does not take long. Don't use a mouse. Use the keyboard and the tab key key to get to the fields.

Be ready to enter the information you need. You can save and come back and make changes later.

Good luck. It will become easier with practice.
