Hello,
I'm looking to run the Age of Ashes AP for a team of 4 players. For now, I'm just looking to see how many people are serious about joining up.
I currently have two people through private invite, and I'll be looking to flesh out the group with two more.
This is my first foray into GMing here in the Paizo forums, but I'm not new to this, and I've been spending the last couple years or so picking up some tips here and there along the way.
What I'll be looking for mostly is dedication (but who isn't, right?). Aside from that, I'm looking for people who are willing to learn the system and have fun doing it. You don't have to be a new to the system, but there's definitely lots to pick up. Even I'm still learning new things.
Players will be chosen based on needs of the group and quality of the submission.
Anyways, I'll get more into that later. As I said, I'm just looking for interest right now. If you don't feel like you can post regularly, please don't apply. I won't say that I'm perfect myself, but I like to keep things moving.
Age of Ashes is a fun, well-written (I think) adventure that delves into various locations and types of gameplay. This will be my third group that I'm running it with, so hopefully my experience comes through.
I plan on accepting applications starting next weekend, after the release of the Advanced Player's Guide.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the submissions once we get to the weekend. It's going to be tough to pick only 2 people from all the interest alone. Either way, I appreciate everyone dotting in. :)
There is one thing to keep in mind: The reason that I'm not accepting any submissions until the weekend is because of the release of the Advanced Player's Guide in just a couple days. I want people to have the option of using this book (and I need to see if there is anything I need to restrict, though I doubt it).
Either way, though, I'm looking forward to seeing what people come up with.

Just so we know what are we working with, have you found anything in the Advanced Player's Guide that in your opinion needs restriction? I doubt I will use any of the new ancestries or classes, but maybe others are interested in those options.
I'll address this more once I make my official post, but in a nutshell, Common is always allowed. Uncommon will be less likely, but not overly stringent. Rare is definitely going to need some convincing. Common races are certainly going to have an easier time of things, but the people of Breachill are fairly inclusive, especially when it comes to their heroes.
Now, this is pretty much all referring to Ancestry. There aren't too many other options at 1st level that go beyond Common. If there is something that you want that is Uncommon or higher (equipment, etc.), just ask. I may allow it at a cost, depending on what it is. Breachill is a fairly insular location, so exotic items and spells and such won't easily be found unless it was brought in from abroad.
Above all of that, the better your write-up, the more likely I am to allow something outside the norm.
For the APG specifically, I've only begun to scratch the surface (haven't gotten my physical copy yet), so if there's something that you're interested in, we'll look at it.

Never done PF2 before (hell, been PbPing PF1 for years and still learning it) but I recently got the core rule book... how different is it/hard is it to adjust to? I am interested regardless, just might need a bit of help with my submission.
Sincerely I'm not having big issues in learning how 2nd Edition works. It's a bit different of course, but probably easier to learn than PF1E.
If you're interested there's a YouTube playlist explaining most of the rules pretty clearly.
If you need help with character creation I'm pretty sure anyone here could help you with it, myself included.

For sure! I'm more than willing to help.
As DEM said, it's a pretty simple system, but I'm all about helping people learn the system, as I think it's well worth learning.
As another alternative, if you don't have your own copy of the CRB, you can find the step layed out here.
