Are monks still considered unarmored while wielding a shield?

As the title says.
I haven't found anything about this while searching the net, so any input is welcome.

As you did (not) find out, nowhere is stated that using a shield makes you armored. So, it doesn't.


Unfortunately, yes.
Using a shield doesn't make you armored.

I don't know about unfortunately, but yes. Shields are not armor. They are shields. They do not make you armored.

Have seen many shielded Monks. Shields are their own items. Neither armor nor weapon.
