Are Animal Companions capable of Battle Maneuvers?

Advice

Tittle says everything, are they? Stuff like grab and trip.

The bully specialization kinda implies that yes.

They have athletics and wolves even get trip when flanking so I would say yes.

The section of companion proficiencies says, "It’s trained in its unarmed attacks, unarmored defense, barding, all saving throws, Perception, Acrobatics, and Athletics. Animal companions can’t use abilities that require greater Intelligence, such as Coerce or Decipher Writing, even if trained in the appropriate skill, unless they have a specialization that allows it." Since actions associated with some skills are called out as not being possible, even if the companion is trained in the related skill, that implies to me that actions associated with trained skills that don't require greater intelligence are completely kosher.

If an elite, modern dog can disarm (likely the hardest concept of the maneuvers), then an elite, magically-linked dog (et al) in a high fantasy setting should be able to disarm. Note that some real dogs can do this without commands, so with a Druid commanding their AC, most animals should be able to do all of the maneuvers.
How much leeway they have after that, i.e. to be able to attack a grabbed enemy while maintaining the grab, may vary by body type.
