Molamaw

I am not sure if this is the appropriate place to pose my questions but if not please direct me to the proper forum.

First:I am creating a Molamaw player character. In looking at the discriptor I see that they have a unique language all their own. It is a combination of grunt, squeals and flipper movements and the like. There is no mention of them knowing any other language. I was was under the assumption that all PCs start out knowing two languages, one being common. Is this true?

Secondly:This is a bit more complicated. I am making my Molomaw a Vanguard - Gladiator.
Ok, here we go. Molamaw get a natural unarmed strike of 1d3. At third level the get a special weapon specialization with that attack bonus of 1.5x level rather than the normal 1x level. According to the rules for entropic strike you can make an entropic strike with any body part, also it states that you can make it with any weapon or shield that allows you to make an unarmed strike. Then in parentheses it says (replacing the normal attack with your entropic attack). So all of this being said does this negate the 1.5x level weapon specialization for unarmed strike. Likewise if so does the character receive two weapon specialization at third level. One for the innate race ability and one for the class? Given the movement hindrance with the build, I don't want to leave any damage bonuses out. At the same time want to be by the rules.

Morlamaw started as Starfinder Society characters, so you may want to post your questions about them in the SFS forum, but you can also talk about them in the general Starfinder forum, since I believe they came out in an Alien Archive.

Starting characters know Common, their racial language (if any), and the predominant language of their home planet (if different than their racial language).

Entropic Strike and Unarmed Strike are two different attacks. The Entropic Strike can take on the Special Weapon Properties and fusions of a weapon that they carry, but the damage (and specialization bonus) is as per the Entropic Strike class feature. Long story short: Yes, it does negate the 1.5xlevel natural weapon specialization.

If you're worried about speed issues, just remember that there are a lot of potential movement enhancers, including using an Entropy Point for 10' of extra movement.
