Are pathfinders welcome in Osirion? (Possible spoilers)

Mummy's Mask

Dark Archive

As the tile says plan to run this at somepoint and have a feeling some players may wish to be pathfinders. However in the Osirion land of the pharaohs book it mentions in the timeline that the ruby prince caught a wasting disease from an artifact from Thassilonion and blamed it on the pathfinders for bringing it to him in the first place.

It dosent say if pathfinders are still welcome or not so I'm wondering what there status would be?

They're not really "welcome" welcome, but they're not forbidden at this time.

Quote:

Amenophas

You and I are no longer servants of the Ruby Prince in anything but spirit. We have not been exiled, but neither are we welcome and honored. I spent three days humbly requesting that you not share my fate, but our prince’s counselors were unwilling to hear me; however, do not despair—especially those who might have returned to life as a Risen Guard.

First of all pathfinders aren't "welcome" in most civilized countries of inner sea since people tend to see them more as thieves/grave robbers and less as explorers.
Now that this is out of the way, no i don't think that trapfinders would be unwelcome in Osirion as long as they pay their taxes, for the Osiriani artifacts they find, on their way out of the country.

Scarab Sages

Also, PFS campaign isn't in the same continuity as vanilla AP cannon (where nothing that your party hasn't done hasn't happened).

The infection of the Ruby Prince and the stripping of Amenophas of prestige and influence is current Golarion canon, since the publishing of the new campaign setting book on Osirion. The Pathfinder Society also lost influence and prestige, as they were indicated as the ones who gave the relic to the Ruby Prince that infected him.

Liberty's Edge

I was not sure the PFS lore was going to carry on in to the main PFS canon, but after reading the new Osirion book, it has. The Ruby Prince is on the outs with the society.

Although I dont think Id restrict Pathfinders from being there so much, as make the heat on the ones there a lot hotter. Ie people wont rent out rooms to Pathfinders or customs agents might take a closer look at carried items 'that looks like a Osiriani relic there sir' and so on.

People might charge Pathfinders more for services and so on.

You might get ultra nationalists turn on Pathfinders if they get a chance for the slight to the Ruby Prince.
