I've played pathfinder for years, and love making custom races. I recently had an idea for a race that could on occasion reach through, or move through objects with a daily limit. That being said, I chose to make the ability a spell which they would have access to. I have never created a custom spell and would love some feedback as to if this is overpowered for a 4th level spell as I'd like to keep that as the spell level. Thanks in advance.

DESCRIPTION
You become insubstantial, but remain completely on the material plane and completely visible. As an insubstantial creature, you can move through solid objects of your choice, including living creatures.
Although you are not incorporeal, while in insubstantial form, you can only be harmed by incorporeal creatures, magic weapons or creatures that strike as magic weapons, and spells, spell-like abilities, or supernatural abilities. In this form you are immune to all non-magical attack forms. Even when hit by spells or magic weapons, you take only half damage from a corporeal source. Corporeal spells and effects that do not cause damage only have a 50% chance of affecting you while in insubstantial form. Force spells and effects, such as from a magic missile, affect you normally.
Since your gear and equipment become insubstantial with you, your attacks can deal damage normally against incorporeal creatures as the ghost touch special ability. However, attacks against corporeal targets, find no purchase. In fact you cannot take any physical action that would move or manipulate a corporeal opponent or its equipment, nor are you subject to such actions.
If you end the spell and become material while inside a material object (such as a solid wall), you are shunted off to the nearest open space and take 1d6 points of damage per 5 feet that you so travel.

Sounds like my verbiage needs clarification.
Incorporeal creatures can still attack corporeal creatures which I would like to avoid. I don't want to give them that functionality. I just want them to be able to pass through "physical" objects and creatures and the only in game similarity I could use as a reference was being incorporeal. In line with that thinking, I guess I should also add that they wouldn't be able to pass through force effects. Anyway, maybe the language needs to be adjusted, but that's what I'm asking for help with.

Like Bjørn Røyrvik and avr say, it is very very similar to being incorporeal and you spend a lot of time and space listing things that are identical, meaning now a reader has to know how both work to know what your spell shouldn't do.
Save a lot of space and just say
'Caster becomes incorporeal except their attacks have no effect on corporeal targets.'
Then describe anything else. For instance, whether ranged attacks become corporeal or magic attacks like fireball still work.
No need to mention being on the same plane, that's the norm.

Sounds like etherealness without the "actually being on the ethereal plane" part... so I'd bump Ethereal Jaunt down a level and leave it at that.
Ethereal Jaunt but cannot affect or be affected by anything, whether on material or ethereal plane. Maybe also make it so that they don't become invisible like an ethereal person would. In a sort of Kitty Pride way.
