5/5 *****

I have a few questions about this scenario:

1. There are no treasure bundles mentioned anywhere here. What counts as a bundle?

2. Why does the art section contain a barfight halfling wheen you never actually fight halflings?

3. The plan to get PCs home appears to be "maroon them on a sandbar and hope someone comes along and takes pity on them." Seriously?

1. Quests always grant a set gp reward. There are no treasure bundles.

2. It is a picture of the Bar Fight "hazard" which involves "an assortment of humanoids"

3. There is a ship chartered to come pick them up. They are just getting dropped off early.

Is the hazard - the bar brawl difficult terrain? It doesn't say it is so I assume not?

Also the hazard has no DC to notice and -10 stealth. Does this mean every PC notices it and has an attempt to disable before initiative is rolled?

And the -10 is the initiative modifier has?

As I understood it, it can't be disabled before the fight because Stella deliberately triggers it. However, it can still be disabled *during* the fight.

Another weird thing I noticed: the bar brawl hazard also attacks the individual NPC enemies, and can quickly knock them out.

At Rivanti's bar, the scenario says:

Rivanti's Bar wrote:
Eventually, you arrive at a shack in a clearing, from which rowdy drinking songs and squawks spew forth.

Well, here is a rowdy song in case you need one.

♫ We're feathered friends and jack-a-daws
And swordsmen without peer
We're travelers who give folks pause
And mayhap they have somethin' to fear

We're the genus corvidae!
We boldly live and boldly die
And if you cross us,
We'll spit in your eye!
Ha ha! CAW! CAW!
Pass me another beer! ♫

You're welcome.

But we don't have Tengu yet :)

We do in that scenario... I look at that scenario as a promise that tengus are coming!

As the author of both this quest and the tengu ancestry coming in the APG (as well as a known consumer of beer), this brought a smile to my face °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

I am so happy to hear that, James! I like tengu too and decided that Rivanti's needed a drinking song! I was so happy there was a tengu tavern in this scenario!

Dumb question: The conclusion says that "In gratitude for their service, Valsin presents the PCs with an archaic wayfinder". That sounds like a free gimme. But the sheet says it costs 25 GP, which is closer to what I would expect. So, really this is just a 5 GP discount?

For the game at the Watchtower:

"A PC can attempt a Games Lore
check (to win fairly), a Thievery check (to surreptitiously
hide cards up their sleeve), or a Deception check (to bluff
Fane into thinking they have better cards). The game is
played in three rounds, and a different PC must attempt
the check for each round. The DCs of these checks are 15,
16, and 17 (18, 19, and 20 in Subtier 3–4), respectively."

I'm reading that as the DCs increasing over the the rounds, but I can also see reading it as the DC depending on the skill chosen.

I am wondering the same thing, maybe the price is just if they later want to sell the item? I am running the scenario this weekend and I will just present the characters with it for free.

Just like playing outside of the context of PFS, a magic item is part of your share of the treasure. If someone wants to keep it, they need to pay out of their share of gold.

If it was a home game, only one of them could keep it at all.

Okay, so double-checking this Chronicle...
It's listed as an item. Items on a Chronicle are things your characters can buy. This can have several benefits, like access to uncommon items, access to items above your level (up to your level +2), or in this case a discount.
The gold award gives you the full value of your treasure in money, though. You need to trade that back out to get an item.
