Creature types and subtypes?

Rules Discussion

Are creature types and subtypes still a thing in 2E? If so, where are they indicated in the various Bestiary entries?

Types exist as a trait in each creature's bestiary entry.

There's also a monster by type list near the end of the bestiary. Very handy for the various summon spells.

I can't speak for the accuracy of this list (and definitely not for the formatting), but take a look at the last half of http://pf2.d20pfsrd.com/rules/bestiary/.

Note that traits do not come with inherent attached rules anymore - if they have immunities and similar stuff, they're always sin the stat block itself, not hidden in the glossary.

They just tag a monster to interact with some other rules element, like knowledge checks for certain skills or qualifying for certain summon spells or things like a ranger's favored enemy.
