Greetings, I'm trying to replicate a devastator inquisitor (Two handed melee inquisitor)and wear heavy armor.
Im planning to use Ranger as base class for Monster Hunter, Prey to replicate monster lore and judgement feature, Precision for build efficiency and to somehow get a Judgement of Destruction feeling. Warden's Boon at lvl 8 for Teamwork Feat feel.
Now for multiclasses, for my luck the base race is Human so I can take care of my issue with charisma requirement for champion with Multitalented. At lvl 14 I shouldn't suffer the Heavy Armor Prof fallout and still able to pick a religious dogma with the class. (for this case Im going to be a Liberator, since he worship Caydeen Cailean).
My issue though is with Inquisitor spells, an Inquisitor had a balance of utility, offensive and defensive spells. So things like Invisibility, terrible remorse, brow gasher and so on don't share Divine spell list anymore and I dont want to stray too further from the theme, suggestions or tips?

I used this during Playtest. It's, how do I put this, almost pointless until Master Monster Hunter.
1. You're restricted to creatures to that you can Identify using Recall Knowledge. That means you'll need to invest in Arcana , Religion, Occult, and probably Society skills.
2. You only get a benefit if you crit succeed. So you're talking about three INT based skill and two WIS based skills that you have to roll +10 on the DC with a stat that you're tempted to dump, let alone invest in.
3. It only works on your Prey. So you only get a free RK check on your Prey. All the other creatures in the room, you have to spend an action to identify them. Now, the upside is that even if you only only succeed, and not crit, you've gotten a RK check that should provide you with info. But...and this is a big one, you're putting your character in a bind with using Hunt Prey on a creature that you want to identify, but may not be the creature you want to or can attack.
It gets worse. What happens if you crit identify a creature that isn't your Prey...then you later make it your Prey? Do you have to reroll? Do you get the benefit of the crit? Paizo hasn't seemed to contemplate that.
4. The benefit from Monster Hunter may be entirely lost if you change Prey before someone attacks. I personally would rule that it's not, but as written, I will guarantee some GMs are going deny you the benefit.
5. Once you take Master MH, you can now use Nature to identify all creatures. Except...that doesn't come on until lvl 10. So all that skill investment in INT and Arcana, Religion etc, is marginalized. That's a LOT of retraining.
6. Monster Warden needs Monster Hunter to work.
As stated, I tried this during the Playtest at lvl 5. I never got anything from it. Either I couldn't Crit (and had no chance of critting) or the creature didn't fall under Nature. The goodnews is that at lvl 10, that all changes. And, you're also rewarded if you can put Double Prey and Triple Prey (which you probably won't).
Personally, I think you're probably better off waiting for an Archetype that addresses this.
