Question: Can heavier armors be made with wood treated with the Ironwood spell(or equivalent) or alternatively with wood outright?

There is a block that declares that it is at GM discretion for what armor is made of, but OrgPlay traditionally has been rather conservative about such things.

Page 555 suggest you are out of luck with regards to wooden armor. You can make wooden armor out of Darkwood, but there are no wooden armors in the CRB.

Remember, the CRB is not specifically written for OP. I would proceed with the idea that very soon we will get some direction on rules that expect GM discretion. We know from campaign history that generally the development team is the official campaign GM and provide direction what to do when a rule allows discretion. If it’s not specifically explained or listed in the book, assume it’s not permitted for OP.

You might have to wait a bit until we have more armor types and/or wait and then find a way to access Dragonhide which is a level 8 material but can be used to replace metal in armors.
