Sorcerer and Specialist Wizard cantrips

Rules Discussion

Sorcerers gain 4 (generic) cantrips + 1 (bloodline) cantrip
Wizards gain 5 (generic) cantrips + 1 (school) cantrip
Both gain 1 extra spell slot per spell level (from 1 to 9)

Shouldn't sorcerers gain 5 (generic) cantrips + 1 (bloodline) cantrip ?

Honestly, the wizard feels like the one that is out of whack to me, since all the other casters get 5.

The universalist would have the lowest number of cantrips or specialists would get not benefit if they did it any other way. Neither makes much sense.

i am making a sorcerer for my daughter that wonts to join the are game and she is going to be a elf with the ele bloodline at 8th lvl .at first so she is taking wildborn magic ancestery feat at first lvl,at secound lvl sorc feat cantrip expantionat for+2,at third lvl she is taking the general feat ancestral paragon to take elemental wrath, then at 5th she is taking wildborn adept. my question is how many cantrips does she have access to its 4+1 for class +1 for WBM and +2 for cantrip expantion class feat +1(acidspash)from elemental wrathand 3 from WBA =12 am i adding them right but unser spells per day it ways she oly has 5 a day

What Xenocrat said.

Also, things being equal is not always the same as things being fair, so it's not inherently a problem that the wizard class have an advantage over the sorcerer class when only the element of using cantrips is concerned.

Actually I don't see the logic.
It's dead simple to equalize the cantrips with other classes:
Give Wizards 1 less than everybody as base but each school grants 1 of school, with Universalist granting 1 free choice.
Wizards also have Familiar Thesis with bonus abilities allowing extra Cantrip Connection, so why even more cantrips?

Don't forget to add in the various Ancestry feats that add cantrips :)
