I'd love to preorder a hardcopy of the Pathfinder Core Rulebook.
I'm utterly shocked of the shipping Costs of from the USA to The Netherlands (Holland, part of the EU):
USD 41.43 for non-tracable Mail Innovations International Shipping.
USD 54.54 for non-tracable USPS Priority shipping.
USD 99.43 for tracable UPS International.
Please tell me there is an error in those cost calculations.

In answer to someone else in a similar situation, one of the Customer Service folk checked and confirmed the prices were accurate. The size and weight of this particular book are really hurting shipping prices.

Sadly, after the USPS removed the category of "Surface Mail" some years back, it became very expensive to ship any parcel that weighs 4 pounds or more internationally. The Core Rulebook weighs more than 4.5 pounds, and that's before you pack it safely into a box.
Buying locally makes a lot of sense for a lot of people. It might be wise to you ask your favorite local retailer to set aside a copy for you sooner rather than later, though.

Being a subscriber brings benefits that I believe make up for the high shipping costs as far as subscriptions' products are concerned.
But the Deluxe items are part of none. So I ended up ordering them from main Amazon (which is US I guess) after seeing how high the price was on Amazon France (pure madness).
Such are the mysteries of modern shipping rates and business models.

Yep, first time subscriber, so I was kinda wary of what the final price would be... and I got the Advantage (-15% on everything) and as my total order was 100+$, got -10$ on shipping.
The initial cost of shipping ended up being 54$, but subtracting all that I saved (~40$ from adv. + 10$ off from shipping directly), my "shipping" only cost me ~4$, and that's ignoring the fact I'll get the PDFs.I'm pretty satisfied. Now I just need to see if the following shipments will get that much of an advantage.

From my experience, the -10$ on shipping is quite rare. However, I would always buy the PDFs, so getting them for free figures heavily in the benefits I reap from the subscriptions :-)

Yeah, for the initial PF2 items, I even upped my shipping costs to get the items faster. (I'll see when they arrive if it was worth it)
In the end, this order including shipping to Austria came up to $307. S&H (UPS International) was $130 of that, but that is offset by saving $42 through the Paizo Advantage and $98 for the value of the PDF's (and first ten shipping).
Now, I will have to pay import taxes (20% probably), but hey, such big shipments are few and far between, so most of the months that doesn't apply (the threshold in Austria is €25 IIRC per package, and with Paizo now mostly splitting my orders in several small packages that is pretty much a given. Also I don't get clinging packing peanuts!)

On a semi-related note, I pre-ordered some books for 2E and I got an email telling me it was pending. That was 5 days ago. Will I get an email when it goes through or will it go through today cause it's finally July 8th?
You will get another e-mail saying the order is finalized and providing shipment information. It may or may not be today however depending on where in the shipping order you are.

The order says it will expire on July 10th (a week after I ordered it) is that normal or not?

I've had good experiences with UPS international to Australia (other than that they won't ship to a PO Box). It's always been surprisingly fast once it gets out the door of the warehouse.
