Community use for Pathfinder logo, action symbols, etc?

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

I'm in the middle of building some supplements for second edition, and I want to know the status of making things like the Pathfinder logo community use. Also things like the action symbols and such would be nice too, as I'm currently using some that I've made by tracing the ones in the rulebook, but I don't want a cease-and-desist because a lawyer got sue-happy (I honestly don't think this would be an issue, but I do want to play by the rules).

I would really like to have at least this much pre-launch, as it's just two-people working on some cool supplements. I would love to be able to preview the rules so everything can be up to spec on launch day, but I highly doubt we qualify for that kind of access.

Thank you.

Honestly, I really hope we do get a plataform like Homebrewery to make content for PF2, but if that doesn't happen, at least having tools like the action symbol font would help a lot for the people that want to make content for the game in a more organized and book-like manner.

Liberty's Edge

I had wondered about that. I imagine a lot of 3rd Party publishers will end up having to kludge together their own icons, which will just be confusing.
And websites will be tricky as well. To say nothing of forums or VTT games,

My concern is representing the icons on character sheets. Do you draw something? Scrawl “2A”?

I use brackets around cpital letters during the playtest:

[A] ..... [A][A] ..... [A][A][A] ..... [R] ..... [F]

But I agree releasing images of the symbols for third party publishers and homebrewers would be appreaciated.

It would be a fairly easy matter to put the action symbols on a single page and declare that page open game content. Since these symbols are in no way Golarion specific, that really should be done.

Someone from Paizo (I forget who... maybe Vic?) said that the Community Use Package will be updated with the action icons once the game releases

Edit: It was Glenn Elliott
