How's everyone doing?
I'm doing alright over here. Spent the last couple of days wrestling with a fever and stomach bug, but I think the worst is over. The fever has at least gone away. Also wondering where things stand twixt me and my GF. She's barely spoken to me since the last time I saw her and I'm starting to get a little annoyed at being ignored. I'd say she and I need to talk but she won't return my calls or texts. I reckon we'll see what we shall see.

Bee-killer Dog?
Here's one for you
Crested RatThe African crested rat (Lophiomys imhausi) slathers its fur in a deadly toxin. This poison is no joke, as just a few milligrams can bring an elephant to its knees and even kill a human, according to a statement put out by the University of Utah.
“They’re herbivores, essentially rat-shaped little cows,”

I have made notes reminding me that if someone mentions it you will create it within hours. Your powers must be used for good. The world is watching.

BTW, carrion bees are real (at least on Earth-616 anyway). Sadly, they are stingless and their vomit honey is still based on plant nectar (although apparently foul-tasting to humanoids).
...but imagine what they could be if they made alchemical "honeys"* from the carrion of various fantastic creatures in a Pathfinder setting? If they retained their stingers, what properties might their venom acquire based on their varied diet of fantastic carrion (similar to animals like milkweed caterpillars absorbing the toxins of the milkweed they consume)?
* And what kinds of meads would duerger, duerro, and possibly thirae make from such honeys? What sort of abilities would a mellified mummy made from such honeys have?

O...M...G! Thank you so much Sir RH! Think of the combo of Giant Vulture Bees and Mites!
Mites are fey with Vermin Empathy. Fey get Craft as a Class skill. Even though the standard Mite in Bestiary 1 has an Int of 8, they could still be reskinned to start at CR 1/4 with a rank in Craft: Alchemy.
Consider a unique group of necromancy and alchemy themed mites, using Vulture Bees as mounts. You could give the bees some kind of acidic spit as a 1/day breath weapon along with a bite attack, while the riders hurl flasks of acid instead of the standard darts.
Deeper in their "hive" are corpses, being consumed to feed the bees while the bones are animated by their leader. Since the standard mite gets a Wis 13, it would make sense for the leader or elites of the group to have levels in some kind of Divine class, but you might also give them levels in Investigator or Alchemist.
And, of course... you could add ghouls along with skeletons as tertiary monsters. They could be bad guys... but have some weird, necessary underpinning. Like the mites and their bees exist on the fringe of some warring regions and they descend on battlefields as a way of nature "reclaiming" the dead.
Bugs are so cool!

You too, Cal! Thanks for hosting the House of Respite!
I'll be sure to settle some hash in a politcal argument. (NOTE: Link safe for Paizo's 'no politics' guidelines).

Hosting here is my pleasure. Plus, I don't have to clean up like after a bunch of filthy gamers have been in my actual house. Philistines.

So back in the halcyon days of D&D 3.5, they published four hardcover adventures, "Expedition to Castle Ravenloft", "Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk", "Expedition to Undermountain", and "The Drow of Underdark". I got "Greyhawk" and "Drow", but no one seemed too interested in playing them. But I still loved them and wanted to complete the set but never managed to do so. Until today. The other two arrived in the mail as an early Christmas gift from a GF from long, long ago who found me on Facebook. I have made it absolutely clear I do not have even the slightest interest in getting back together and besides that, I already have a girlfriend of eight years. She said she wasn't looking to do that but just wanted to apologize for the crap she put me through back then. But, for whatever reason, I have the whole set now and even though I may never get to run them I'm just happy to have them.

For those of you who like cyberpunk stuff, or just want to try it, Dragon Turtle Games is giving away free copies of the Carbon 2185 RPG today (11/28) and tomorrow (11/29) through their webstore. It's based around the mechanics of D&D 5e, so it should feel familiar-ish fairly quickly.
(Disclaimer: I haven't played it yet myself.)

A little bit of information for my gamer friends as well as those who just enjoy fantasy art. The smart tv app Tubi has a program called "Eye of the Beholder: The Art of Dungeons and Dragons". I think it's just a single episode and not a series. I haven't watched it yet, having just learned about it from a Facebook gamer group post.

Great. Tubi. Beholders. "An episode." This is all just code for beholder eye stalk porn. That's all it is. Dress it up any way you want, but we know what you like now.
*makes note to check available TV apps once at home*

Throwing things back to the Flumph Freak Flag for a second, I meant to attach this link to my original post but something shiny caught my eye and I wandered off to look at it. Anyway, I decided after seeing Iron Maiden last summer my concert days were pretty much over. The last two bands on my bucket list will never play in Arkansas, and it's likely these guys won't either. So, I'll just stay over here waving my flag. Dig.

I thought Monolith Country was Toby Keith’s album of 2001: A Space Odyssey soundtrack covers.

I would assume owning the album was sufficient punishment. I mean, "Also Sprach Zarathustra" doesn't even HAVE lyrics, let alone Toby Keith lyrics! Why did he rhyme "Zarathustra" with "gonna shoot ya"? WHY?!
Disclaimer: None of this actually happened. In THIS universe. But if the multiverse theory is correct... we got some smack to lay down... quantum style.
