No it was absolutely an autocorrect issue. I'm the alias that did/does/will do the time manipulation.

I accidentally posted this in the "So What's the Plan, Stan?" subforum earlier, but thought I'd toss this out for anyone who might be interested. If anyone wants to take a look at the article, I'll be happy to PM it to you. I'm afraid that posting it here in the general population would cause a ruckus. Here's what I posted:

I read an article last night by a guy who designs games who outlined how the whole QAnon movement follows along almost identically to the processes involved in the playing of certain types of RPGs. I'd like to share it here to get everyone's take on it, but I'm afraid it would become really incendiary very quickly. The article's title is "A Game Designer’s Analysis Of QAnon".

Remimds me of this quote, can’t remember from who:

“Lying to people is hard and even harder to make the lie stick. But if you can get them to lie to themselves, they’ll believe harder and fight till death for the lie.”

HEELLOOOO, Beautiful people! I'm back! *blows kisses* mwah! mwah!

I want to thank Drejk and Mark Hoover for letting me know what was up with my account. I thought I might have been banned (I'm on FB's Most Wanted list and am currently banned from all of my groups right now, but not my main page. I STILL don't know what I did this time).

S'anyway, Hi!

Wait, I thought we were playing Texas Hold'em Strip Uno?! {sticks another checker piece in ear}

I've got a Euchre game over here, if anyone wants to join.

I don't know how to play Bob Euchre. I'm terrible at baseball in general; the strike zone starts over a foot above the top of my head.

If you've ever seen photos of giant coconut crabs climbing the side of a house, you've seen terror-inducing images. Trust me. Now, just by adding a ginormous skull to them and making them BIGGER is madness-inducing.

Gaaaah, these Black Sabbath live rips are the absolute ettin's elbows

Ugh... I'm a headbanger from way back and have always loved Black Sabbath (throughout most of their incarnations), but I'm honestly not much of a fan of the original lineup. Once Ronnie James Dio joined I sat up and took notice.

Much as I like Ronnie, those few first albums are something else so far as I'm concerned. YMMV, though :)

Especially the debut album. That record is incredible. Especially for being recorded in one day.

Fantasy Monsters: Sandlin Gremlin

Yes, I am running across desert in Assassin's Creed: Origins, why do you ask?

The last three nights I've managed to get back on a "real" sleep schedule; going to bed between 10 and 11 pm and sleeping until 9 or 10 the next morning. Last night I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. Then ZING! I woke up at 3:45 this morning and here I sit. I finally got up and went down to a local convenience store and got a hot dog and an apple fritter because I really didn't have anything else to do...lol.

Ah yes. 2:00 AM to 4:00 AM... my old nemesis...

(¬_¬)

I've been doing that a fair bit lately myself. Sometimes it's the cat. He waits till I'm good and asleep and then decides he wants to go outside. The sound he emits is calculated for maximal annoyance, out to the 7th decimal place. It'd be a remarkable achievement if it didn't make me want to murder him...

Here, it's gloomy and rainy. So gloomy. So rainy.

A hot dog and an apple fritter, however, sound like a very good plan. Thanks for the idea, Cal!

I've surrendered to the idea of being nocturnal. I am now a creature of the night.

Welcome to the dark side.

It's just seems very strange to me
Not her quiet, lonely streets
And draped in all her mystery
Could be so sweet and comforting
The night, she calls me

I have always been a night person, but over the years of needing to be a responsible wage earner, I pretty much had to retrain myself to sleep all night. I still have to be mostly diurnal because of my dogs. They might sleep *most* of the day but they'd still bark at every plastic bag that blows past the living room window and need to pee and stuff, so I generally just try to sleep at night now. I don't always succeed, but I try.

It was 20 degrees out last night. So the cat couldn't go out. He continued his reign of terror. I didn't get more than an hour of sleep at a time.

Maybe I'll pay the dogs to murder him and make it look like an accident. They're smart. They could make that happen.

So. Tired.

How's everyone else's winter going?

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Typical Arkansas winter. It was 25 degrees last night. They high today is supposed to hit 55. Tomorrow the forecast is 70 with 100% chance of rain. Sunday, highs in the 40s.

I know this is a cliche, but when I was a kid we actually had winters. At least two decent snowfalls a year ice thick enough on the ponds that we could skate on them. Twice a day I'd have to take an ax and chop holes in the ice near the edges of the pond banks so the cattle would be able to drink. That stuff doesn't happen here anymore.

Well sure.

But when we were kids, wooly mammoths still roamed the plains and dirt was the newest technology.

Aw man, remember dirt? There was that one kid who got it first in the neighborhood and he'd be all like "Hey, you wanna come over and play dirt?" and I'd get all excited and then he'd go "Psych!" and I wouldn't get to play dirt after all.

Dirt.

It was also for dinner.

5 people marked this as a favorite.

Pfft. I remember the Good Old Days before erosion existed. No dirt for us then! You don't know how lucky you were.

Luxury.

We used to dream of a nice hard granite surface. All we had was molten lava and the rudiments of RNA. And we had to work at mill starting at 6:00 the night before.
