haha. I like that example.

Honestly when I made a biohacker i was like "woohoo. I get to learn that position!" but then realized my biohacker basically had no spot on the ship of his own.

I hadn't invested in computers, pilot, or engineering--other classes do that better, and they were already established in games. I thought biohacker was going to have a neat spot for science officer. I was quite wrong.

i dont think you can aid another in starship combat, or that would've been kind of neat to double up I guess.. but I don't really want a biohacker who is a computer engineering pilot guy.

Hum. Might be cool, someday, to have a med bay in starship combat, that can supply "generic ship crew" that gives bonuses and they have to do med and life checks to stabalize the crew, or give bonuses via drugs or something. Who knows. I don't have enough ship experience to remotely guess.

ya'kno Exalted's Elemental Lens ship artifact would be a good idea in concept to put in for Casters in starship combat.

Biohackers make great gunners. Just put ranks in pilot, the lack of a class skill doesn't matter, and you should have a good dex for shooting people.

You may be able to inject your crew with performance enhancing drugs. The core rules and faq are kind of at odds with that.

Yeah, I just wish they had a spot they excelled in. Lots of other classes have bits and bobs that let them.
(though mystics and I think witchwarpers are also in the awkward "Well I don't have my own space.. so i'll just go into generic ranks")

They could make Theorem or two that would let the biohacker juice their crew during starship combat. Maybe giving bonuses, or an extra small action (though this could overlap too much with a captain role so would need to be careful)

Remember that scene from Star Trek Nemesis when Troi (who has some level of telepathy) is dialing in on the cloaked Reman ship because they're also telepathic, so she's free-targeting into open space where she can sense his mind?

We need a role/ability like that which mystics and similar classes can take.

Nah. That would be the reaction of the person using the Bluff skill to fake having Physical Science. The guy who actually has Physical Science would be yawning. :p

( You might be thinking Uranium 235 )

Nah, the Physical Science guy would be yawning. Now, if it were uranium 235. . . :)
