Shaman / hexcaster magus

Advice

It is a bit of a silly build that generated some questions.
So it involves feats and spells that generate weapons. Taking the Flame Blade Dervish combat feat and the one that allows me to use it with Spellstrike and spell combat my question is can I combine dancing dervish while holding a scimitar in one hand generating a flame blade in the other as part of spell combat and use both or do they simply cancel each other out and I simply can spell strike while generating flam blade into the scimitar and does flame blade dervish combat still apply?

Wrong forum.

Playtest has no Shaman or Magus class. Sorry.

Oops wrong place. My bad.

I'm not sure I follow all of your question ('the one that allows me to use it with ...' doesn't tell me what you are talking about).

That said, the requirements of Dervish Dance (and spell combat for that matter) are that you have a hand free. If you have a scimitar in one hand, and a flame blade (which is treated as if it were a scimitar) then you don't have a hand free. You have a scimitar in both hands and you won't be able to spell combat or use use dervish dance.

Now if you weren't wielding a regular scimitar and were only wielding a flame blade you could use spell combat and flame blade dancer just fine. Theoretically you could use Dervish Dance as well, but since flame blade doesn't add STR to damage, it wouldn't do anything.

(Note other dex to damage feats, like Slashing Grace have been specifically worded to not allow them to work with spell combat. Dervish Dance hasn't been errated to match, but some GMs might decide the same rules should apply)
