There's the software imp thing, in I believe the armory. A hacking tool that often becomes self aware and screws with computers.
Add in an appropriate CR scaled living hologram so it can sneak out of your ship's computers to do more physical sabotage could be an interesting series of encounters during travel.

Actually, this could become a very fun, or very terrible encounter.
The software imp tries to eat any artificial personality upgrade installed to the ship computer. From there is starts randomly opening the wrong hatch, causing power surges, turning off lights, giving penalties to starship combat instead of bonuses.
Then you have to give the PC's engineering or computers checks to figure out what the hell is happening. All while their AI is trying to kill them.
But, when they're asleep it uses it's living hologram form (from dead suns) to physically cut wires and override safeties so it's opening the wrong hatch can expose the entire ship to vacuum. This could mislead the PCs to thinking they have a stowaway.
Could be fun, could be frustrating.

They have cyber imps. Atleast thats what my gm called it.
My gm thought it would be a wonderous idea to have my digital bible manifest one of these abominations. I had to purify my computer with fire after its exposed its digital junk when i tried to read my book. Playing the religious zealot can have its fun moments.
Isn't there one in the armory? It is an item in a sense a magic/hybred virus on a "flashdrive".
