K-kun the Insane |
I have my first PF2 game coming up next month and I have a character concept, but something's been bugging me. Wording is very important, and my mind can't get past this.
Flurry of Blows
You can attack rapidly with your fists. You gain the Flurry of Blows action.
FLURRY OF BLOWS
Frequency Once per round.
Make two unarmed Strikes. If both hit the same creature, combine
their damage and enhancements for the purpose of resistances and
weaknesses.Graceful Expertise
Your unarmored defense proficiency rank is expert.Powerful Fist
When striking with your fist, you deal 1d6 damage instead of 1d4. You use your normal proficiency when making a lethal attack with a nonlethal unarmed attack.
Can a Monk Flurry with their feet? Can a Monk kick for 1d6 and use their normal proficiency when making a lethal kick with a nonlethal kick?
Fuzzy-Wuzzy |
"You can attack rapidly with your fists" is fluff. The actual flurry action's "make two unarmed strikes" is the rule, and allows for any unarmed strikes. So you can flurry with your feet, and with any stance strikes.
OTOH, while "powerful fist" is fluff, "when striking with your fist" is a rule, so you cannot kick for 1d6. But you can still make lethal/nonlethal kicks as you choose, because that part of the rule says "unarmed attack" (and, again, the name "powerful fist" is fluff).
I do not know why you shouldn't be able to kick for 1d6, and I'm not 100% positive that's their intent, but that's what it says.
