Trap Finder rogue feat - The portion that reads "you can disable ranks as though you had a proficiency rank of master in Thievery." Does this include the bonus to the Thievery check, or does this only mean that you can disable traps that require Expert or Mastery proficiency to disable?

Noticed the typo, and attempting to clarify the question after speaking to people.

"You can disable traps as though you had a proficiency rank of Master in Thievery."

I had initially interpreted this line as saying:
1) When you take an action to disable a trap, you add your character level +2 (for Master proficiency), and
2) You can disable traps that require a Proficiency modifier of Master or lower.

I have had a judge interpret this as only 2; that is, you can disable traps that require a Proficiency modifier of Master or lower, but you use your own proficiency modifier for the roll.

How should the line be interpreted?
