PF1E and PF2E is what I've been going with so far, with upper case instead of the lower case you went with. I'm not particularly worried about standardized abbreviation, since in context they all are pretty obvious. I know what you're talking about, you know what I'm talking about, and that's what's important.

Speaking just for myself, I'm gearing toward PF1 and PF2. The lowercase "e" is superfluous, as the number denotes the edition.
PF1 is more useful to specify between editions, i.e. "they did this so much better in PF1." If Pathfinder First Edition is called simply PF, it loses function as a catch-all abbreviation for the game in general, its world, the culture and customs associated with it, etc.
Anyway, just my two cents.

PF1 and PF2 is easy to type. And I like the idea that "PF" covers the whole thing and PF1/2 are like..sub-folders. Yay!
Is pathfinder so long that we NEED an abbreviation? Maybe pathfinder classic and new pathfinder. ;)
Or we could go the Microsoft Route. Pathfinder 2009 and Pathfinder 2019? Or like Starbound, Pathfinder Irritated Koala and Pathfinder Cheerful Giraffe?
