Scarab Sages

My Alchemist has been sporting a non-magical doctor's mask (originally from Adventurer's Armory, I believe) for a very long time; but have the mechanics for it been changed somewhere along the way, or what? My understanding (and how I've been applying it) has been that it grants a +2 bonus to saving throws vs inhaled poisons and stench effects...but I can't seem to find anything that corroborates that (and I'd have to do some digging to relocate my copy of Adventurer's Armory).

What is the quantity of the bonus supposed to be, and what should it apply against?

“This protective mask gives you a +1 circumstance bonus on Fortitude saves made against airborne toxins and scent-based effects. In Korvosa, it is a minor crime to wear a doctor’s mask in public if you are not a healer or physician.“

Scarab Sages

Source, please? And what counts as "toxins" (Just poisons? Diseases, as well? Anything else?)?

That's the Adventure's Armory one. I gave the entire article. I think that it protects from both inhaled poisons and diseases, especially regarding the Korvosa bit.

I just checked, there is a different mundane one by the same name that is from AP #8 Curse of the Crimson Throne: Seven Days to the Grave, which isn't PFS legal. "Doctor’s Mask: Resembling the head of a heron and featuring slits that allow its wearer to breathe, this black, goggle-eyed mask of leather and cloth covers the entire head and shoulders, acting as a primitive gas mask filled with herbs meant to purify the senses and ward of disease. This mask grants its user a +2 bonus on Fortitude saves made to resist foul smells (like a stinking cloud spell or a troglodyte’s stench) and inhaled diseases."
