Hello there everyone,
Looking for some advice or character build ideas to fit with the concept of “Lu Bu” from the Dynasty Warriors franchise for Pathfinder.
I have multiple ideas, a human halberd user with a special mount (I was considering Marshal to get the mount) of giant size (easy enough to get “Enlarge Person” permanenced or through an item)
Character Level is 12th at this point. Wondering what ideas people have for such a character. Any tips or input is appreciated.

Well as Barbarian the Rge certainly fits but the lack of Heavy Armour and the missing Mount (Red Hare) makes it seem unlikely.
Cavalier also works very nicely.
There is a barbarian archetype, mounted fury, that gives a mount. And there are rage powers to make the mount very, very angry too.
The armor can be solved too. The main reason barbarians avoid heavy armor is because it removes their fast movement. However, mounted fury trades away fast movement in order to make the mount faster instead. So all you have to take care of is the fact that you are not proficient in heavy armor. Dips or feats can solve that.

I know everyone suggested Cavalier, but why not a Ronin Samurai? It's more thematically appropriate to the franchise he comes from, after all...
Everyone suggesting "LOLBARBARIAN" should realize that he can be Barbarian-like with VMC, and with Cavalier/Samurai getting bonus feats (for the OP, he gets 2 of the 3 bonus feats he normally gets), it's not really that much of a loss.

Ryan's right on the money for recommending Order of the Cockatrice if you go Cavalier. Lu Bu's pretty much a poster boy for a Chaotic Neutral glory hog narcissist.
Samurai would probably be more appropriate for the likes of Guan Yu (who absolutely should be a cavalier).
Samurai even having a power named "honorable stand" makes me go "nope, that ain't Lu Bu."
Yeah, mounted fury could certainly work. Even the fact that it gives up uncanny dodge seems really appropriate.
Are there any fighter archetypes that grant an animal companion mount? I don't think there is...
And yeah, animal companion mount is a must have.

Uh, what?
Lu Bu is all about standing and fighting. He absolutely despises retreat as a tactic, even when to others it's the smartest course of action.
He's just not someone to simply bow to another's orders, or to run from a fight when that is all he lives for, fighting and victory. Not making an "Honorable Stand" for that just flies in the face of what he, as a character, values the most.

Except, of course, he cheerfully bowed to the orders of others, right until he got a better offer, and his most famous duel is the one he ultimately retreated from (granted, that was after it became a three-on-one, but Lu Bu has no qualms at all about backing down once he realized he was losing).
The trick is for Lu Bu to actually realize he's losing. Part of what ultimately led to his defeat was his belief in his own invincibility (and his troops realizing he didn't give a single damn about them, and would drag them all down with him).
Heh. Possibly relevant. (From the 2010 TV adaption of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The prisoner is Lu Bu, the guy with the thick beard is Cao Cao, and the guy Lu Bu is addressing as "Brother Xuande" is Liu Bei.)

The Mounted Fury archetype seems to be the winner so far, touches on a lot of the points essential to his flavour. The Order Of The Cockatrice Cavalier is also a very valid option.
A lot of good suggestions here.
Now onto part 2 of my build ideas, what would be the most appropriate armour and weapon he could afford with his starting money (108’000 GP) to build with I either case?
Since he doesn’t get Fast Movement in either case Heavy Armour seems appropriate, he also wields a Halberd (I assume, though they are many variants). So the question is what enchantments should these items have to maximize his performance in battle?
Any other essential items anyone can think of? I was contemplating a belt that granted a continual Enlarge Person effect, that seems quite doable. (1st Level Spell, CL 3rd minimum, etc)
