Salvation of Sages + Ending of the Scarab Sage (Bit of a Spoiler)

I noticed in the chronicle sheet, to get the boon, we must have 10 faction goals checked. One of the character was created in Season 9 (Total of 9 Goals)

Question: How is that player going to get the Vanity since there is no more Season 10 Scarab Sage Faction Mission?

Barring some sort of solution implemented later (such as a special convention boon), Scarab Sage characters built in Season 9 will be unable to qualify for the boon.

There has been no comment on if this was intentional to prevent every Scarab Sage member from becoming a Jeweled Sage. I can't say how likely that is. But it does prevent players from making a SS character after the fact to pursue the boon.

I have a character that I created at about the start of Season 9, but before even 9-07 came out. I have all 9 goals for the season completed, and would really like for him to be able to become a jeweled sage. Please tell me there will be something that will allow him to do so. Even if it is just a boon...

To be brutally honest, I wouldn't count on it. The retirement of the Scarab Sages faction was known at the beginning of Season 9 (and planned before then), and the intent of becoming a Scarab Sage was reserved for characters that were already established into the faction.

My guess is that was a deliberate decision by the PFS design team to prevent people from creating brand new Scarab Sage characters in season 9 just to rush them towards becoming a Jeweled Sage.

I'm still trying to get to 10 goals for my sage before the end of Season 10, but at least mine is still possible because I've done some goals from a Season 8 sheet as well.

I was very lucky to have a single goal checked on a previous seasons faction card. I understand the frustration of being denied such an accomplishment, but it doesn't look like things are going to change.
