1 person marked this as FAQ candidate.

I noticed in the chronicle sheet, to get the boon, we must have 10 faction goals checked. One of the character was created in Season 9 (Total of 9 Goals)

Question: How is that player going to get the Vanity since there is no more Season 10 Scarab Sage Faction Mission?

Can a developer have an input on this?

A tattoo familiar with back of holdings will 'break' all smuggling type scenarios or games.

In FAQ, it states we are not allowed to add the same stats twice.

Gatebreaker
Benefit(s): Whenever you would deal damage to an object, you deal normal damage plus an additional amount equal to your Strength modifier. This applies to both unattended objects and those you damage as part of a successful sunder combat maneuver check.

Mindchemist Class Ability
At 2nd level, a mindchemist has honed his memory. When making a Knowledge check, he may add his Intelligence bonus on the check a second time.

Q. The first allows double strength, the second allows double intelligence.
Are they legal for PFS Play?

Orale Lore Mystery
Lore Keeper (Ex): Instead of encyclopedic knowledge, you learn most of your information through tales, songs, and poems. You may use your Charisma modifier instead of your Intelligence modifier on all Knowledge checks.

Q. A player has 1 level Oracle with Lore Keeper Mystery and 2 levels of MindChemist.
Do he add DOUBLE CHA , INT + CHA or he just CHA

Close eyes to attack against mirror images. It is not illegal by RAW or RAI, but can really spoil the fun for players relying on mirror images. As the saying goes, what a player can do, the GM can do too.

In any case, close yes, aka by RAW, Wearing a Blindfold: The foe cannot see the creature at all (also possible to achieve by turning one’s back on the creature or shutting one’s eyes). The creature with the gaze attack gains total concealment against the opponent. You still need to make a 50% miss chance

Other than that, GM might declare you must do so at the start of the round, so you need acrobatics to walk normally, and is flat-footed for the rest of the round. I have such GMs before.

If you have a lance and you attack, you stop moving. Which means the mount stops moving.

The mount have reach too.

Last question: yes, if one one of mount and rider charges, so does the other.

I understand on this part, but could the mount attack? Say you are holding a lance. The mount has reach attacks and it can pounce (Cat).

Can you make a LANCE attack, followed by the mount going bite/claw/claw.

Scene: In Mounted Combat, a mount can make a double move and rider make a full round action in the middle of the move action to make a range attack at -4 penalty.

Q: Does that means the rider MUST declare it's a double move action first?

Q: Can the Mount move, Rider Full Round and mount move again (After declaring it's a full round) - Basically means rider move ahead to scout, see enemy, full round and get the mount to retreat.

Scene: Mount and Rider acts in the same inits. Mount is an intelligent creature like an eidolon.

Q: Can the mount move, READY action to move again after rider full round attack? This will circumvent the -4 penalty. By right, Eidolon uses a separate inits

Additional Question: Can a mount charge and as the rider make a melee charge attack, the mount attack at the same time. Assuming both can reach the target after the charge.

In my party of 6, there are 5 spellcasters.
A BARD, an ARCANIST, a CLERIC, a DRUID and a SORC.

This scenario happened:
We were captured and all our items were taken... Spellbooks, holy symbols, weapons, everything... Then the thugs released us in the middle of a forest. Somehow, we found 4 spell component pouches

The question appears. After spending one day in the forest, its nightfall. What happen to all our spells?

1. If the party decides to sleep, will the spell casters lose all their prepared spells, even if they never use it? (e.g. Wizard still have Magic Missile left, goes to sleep, does it still remain as prepared spell next day?)

2. If part 1 was a YES, if the wizard don't sleep, does it lose all their prepared spells.

3. For Cleric and Druid, without holy symbols, can they still cast spells... OR even prepare spells

The game did not continue from then on. Need to resolve this quickly

Hi There fellow pathfinders. Anyone with an answer to this?

Wayfinders

I am finally starting out as a new summoner.
There is three questions I would like to settle quickly.

1. When an Eidolon is Slain, is it banished back into its planes at -1 HP or when it reaches sufficient damage for CON death...

2. With the above question, for LIFE LINK ability, do it activate when it reaches 1 HP or when it is 1 HP to CON death

3. Can an Eidolon take EXTRA TRAIT as a feat?

Wayfinders 4/5 5/5

In my latest game ran, I encountered the following Scenarios...

Basis: the season 7 scenario has the usual VC briefing followed by THREE ACTS.

1. The APL for the party was calculated at 3-4, but a player came in late (middle of ACT 2).
When he joined, it pushes the APL to 5-6

Question: I read somewhere that if you played at least two third of the game (eg. Missed act one or had some emergency and had to leave just before the final encounter) you can still be awarded full XP and PP and GP.

- For this time round, would he still be awarded the full rewards?
- And would he be able to join the game as it pushes the tier up?
- For future reference, if a person rage quit after the first ACT... Am I still suppose to report him playing and award a 0xp chronicale sheet

2. A player died at the very first encounter. Another player died at the last encounter. Both, luckily, had enough PP/gold for a raise dead.

Question here is... How do I award the XP, PP and GP for both scenarios.

Wayfinders

1. The party was sleeping when we were attacked, so the armor was on the ground.

2. Question is more towards, for PFS Legal, can we just announce when purchasing what type of damage the dragon was immune to OR must find it in a chronicle sheet.

SlimGauge: Don't think so. Only the four basic elemental type

Wayfinders

A quick question about Dragonhide armor.

There was a discussion on this item at the earlier game. Our GM dropped a fireball on us and several items were unattended and would take the fire damage. We all agreed to that at the end...

Luckily most of the items are mundane... Most... There was a +1 Dragonhide Breastplate and the player had declared on his Inventory Tracking Sheet that it was created from scales of a dragon immune to fire.

Question... Can we just declare (when purchasing) what the scales of the dragon would be immune to?

Wayfinders

Detect Evil is a Standard Action to activate and Standard Action to concentrate for Detect Evil, just as Detect Magic.

Do note... If you cast Detect Evil in front of someone, they may be offended.
Maintaining would be less obvious, but a Lawful Good Aligned character would not lie or hide his action

Wayfinders

Reopening an old topic, as need to clarify for making a PFS legal oracle...

I can choose any deity to worship, and choose any mystery?
Example: worship amosdeus and with Nature Mystery?

Wayfinders

A dispute came today during my game about free actions, ending with three different views.

View 1 - Free Actions cannot be taken out of turn except talking and other actions specifically listed in the class/feat ability

View 2 - Free Actions can be taken anytime, thus one can Rage, Drop Prone, Reload Guns and Crossbow (If it is a free action) and Quick Draw Weapons.

View 3 - According to the rules - Free Action: Free actions consume a very small amount of time and effort. You can perform one or more free actions while taking another action normally. However, there are reasonable limits on what you can really do for free, as decided by the GM.

At the end, everyone agree for the sake of time, we take RAW, thus view 3

Example 1: If an enemy provoke AOO due to snap shot, a crossbow user (with free reload) may reload their crossbow and AOO. [As he is allowed to take action with AOO, thus he can use free action with it]

Example 2: An enemy cast a spell. A Swashbuckler with Barbarian levels may use CHARM LIFE as trigger to that spell... thus he can also use RAGE to increase his will as well

Anyone with any reference to any place with a final say about free actions...
If not, what is your view

In this alchemist extract, it's states that you can only gain the benefits of one potion or elixir in this way per use of this extract.

Does that means if I use a potion of Mage armor with Alchemical Allocation, I can't cast another Alchemical allocation and use another potion with it immediately after?

E.g. AA Mage armor. Drink AA potion of bark skin or even potion of cure light wound , the Mage armor will fizzle.

Can't find the FAQ to clarify this.

Appearance:

Hung is 6' 2" 240lbs of bone and muscle. He is of light green complexion with a startlingly human looking face. With the exception of his large protruding K-nines, his looks are indeed quite fair, almost Elven. His graceful yet strong feature are one of many things women loved about him. Unlike most Monks, who shave their heads Hung wears his hair in a long que(a partially shaved head with a long pony tail). Another thing women loved about Hung and probably the thing that made him such a good fighter was his body. Hung was not quite neither was he bulky, with wide shoulder but not disproportionately so compared to the rest of the body. This gives him maximum agility without sacrificing all of his strength.

Character Backstory:

Born to a roving band of Orcs from an Orc male Cleric of Nulgreth and a female Prostitute of Calastria. Hung had a privilege position in his clan. Although some distained him this was tempered if not eliminated by the fact that he excelled at martial combat. This combined with the fact that women loved him for his massive member, made him the prince of his clan. Until that fateful day when on a raid all of his clan with the exception of himself were by a demon. He was only saved by his extraordinary martial skill an d a band of paladins of Iomedae. Upon finding himself alone, without a tribe craving to belong he begged the Paladins to let him join them, they scoffed and dismissed his please.

Alone he sought out his only family his mother a prostitute of Calastria. After finding and begging her to take him in she accepts, and puts him to work. He excels at being a prostitute despite his young age of 13 and women of all ages pay a fortune to have him. He becomes some what famous for his enthusiasm to please and his massive member. However after 5 years of bliss and fame in the company of his mother, she too dies, of a wasting disease.

Remembering the paladins who slew his clan he travels to the city of Absalom and starts his training as a paladin of Iomedae. During his tenure he spends much of his time training in the Irorium with the high priestess Ysai Iron-Palm. She becomes like a second mother to him and often asks him questions to guide his personal development. Upon his graduation at the age of 20, Ysai asks him why he chose Iomedae as his patron deity. For this Hung relates the story of the destruction of his clan, and how he saw the power, the righteousness, and most importantly the brotherhood of the paladins and the desire it kindled inside of him. That at that moment he knew he wanted to be a Paladin, he wanted to belong, he wanted purpose, and he wanted righteous vengeance on all demon kind. To this Ysai responded “one out of three could be worse.” She goes on to elaborate saying that “one should not worship Iomedae with vengeance in his heart. And should not become a paladin for power, glory, or vengeance. For these often lead ones path into the darkness. Instead if one wishes to serve as a paladin of Iomedae they should for the good of all, for justice, and righteousness, and NOT without mercy for redemption is within all of us.” Hung responds to this by saying “But I wish to be the best, to be loved by all, accepted and validated. To win glory for my family for my people for my god. Are you going to tell me these too are wrong?” To this Ysai answers “Only some. For the truth is not in others or their validation, but in yourself and your own achievement” Hung replies “But how?, Why?” Ysai smiles and says “that is what we are hear for that is what my god stands for self perfection, and those who seek the true path, their own. We who worship Irori are such individuals and I see that potential in you.” Instead of leaving for the world wound with the rest of his classmates Hung instead stays and trains in the ways of Irori and after a year leaves to join his compatriots in the city of Kenabres as a one of the few paladins of Irori.
