Okay guys, I know many of you like to sew and you like talking about different types of threads, but due to the controversy surrounding it any discussions involving Metallic Threads are no longer be hosted on Paizo.com.
If you want to have discussions about Cotton, Corespun Polyester (also called poly-wrapped poly core), Filament Polyester, Monofilament Polyester, Spun Polyester, Rayon, Nylon, and even Glittar or Myllar threads you are free to do so. However, any discussions on Metallic Threads would be a violation.
As most of you know, Metallic threads are created from multiple layers of materials wrapped and twisted together. The quality of metallic threads range from very high to very low. A good metallic thread does not require a lubricant. Superior's metallic threads have a strong nylon core, a thin layer of rice paper and a special outer coating that keeps the silver foil from rubbing against the needle. The advantages of Superior's metallic thread is: beautiful sheen and excellent stitch quality when embroidered, quilted, or sewn. The disadvantages of metallic thread is: tension adjustments are required and stitching speed may need to be decreased.
It is because of these inherent disadvantages that we can no longer have Metallic Thread discussions on Paizo.com, because it just ends up in an argument and that's not what we want here. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. Goodnight...

All threads are great. The Feline Entanglement Union protests this pointless exercise in restraining our freedom of thread availability and choice.
No not all threads are great and you know that. Any time someone starts a thread about Metallic Threads it ends up in a huge flame war and the moderators have to step in to stop it. How starting a thread about Cotton Threads? That's something safe and reasonable and you felines love that stuff.

Saying cats love safe and reasonable just reveals you don't know much about cats.

Firstly, because you respect Captain Danger Bear's fortitude and steadfastness in the face of perils that would reduce any other being to a quivering wreck.
Secondly, because Captain Danger Bear is, in fact, Captain Captain Danger Bear, similar to '80s soul titan Colonel Abrams, except that a) he is a bear and b) Colonel Abrams did not shave using a ride-on lawnmower.

Do you tape the accelerator down (and likely disable a few fail-safes), or have somebody else ride your shaving implement?

That is the job of Sergeant Danger Bear.

That is a common misconception about Metallic Threads. However Metallica Threads are flameproof, because they are the greatest rock band of all time!!!

Mustn't.... create... new "'Tapeworms, Botflies, and Other Parasites Threads' are no longer hosted on Paizo.com! (very icky, use hand sanitizer)" thread...
I was going to address that issue soon, because the "Tapeworms, Botflies, and Other Parasites Threads" on Paizo.com are getting completely out of control, and I can no longer just sit here in my favorite chair and do nothing about it.

Go ahead and axe me your questions. BTW, I don't want to ban you, just your Metallic Threads.
