This ability states:

Touch of Good (Sp): You can touch a creature as a standard action, granting a sacred bonus on attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws equal to half your cleric level (minimum 1) for 1 round. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

Can the creature decide when they want to activate this benefit? Since it does not say anywhere "in the next round".

Seems doubtful. Other spells and abilities don't work like that unless they say so--their duration starts upon casting.

If you look at the Bit of Luck ability it clearly states its in the next round.

Bit of Luck (Sp): You can touch a willing creature as a standard action, giving it a bit of luck. For the next round, any time the target rolls a d20, he may roll twice and take the more favorable result.

So that makes me think. Certainly purely RAW it would be anytime, but doubt that is what writers intended?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean by "decide when they want to activate this benefit". Could you elaborate?

Oh I mean if I'm the caster, and I touch my ally to give them a bit of luck. That "bit of luck" is now instilled in them, can they decide to utilize that good luck at any point in the day now? I don't see it say anywhere "the creature must use it in the next round" or anything.

The Bit of Luck ability can't trigger as soon as it is bestowed, as it affects a single roll
Touch of Good on the other hand, can and does trigger upon touch, giving the bonuses instantly and for a duration of one round

They have one round upon being touched.

Sorry I miswrote that, the bit of luck clearly states it works in the next round. The question is the creature who got affected by touch of good utilize that at any point
